Respawn Shares Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass Details, New LTE Next Week

Apex Legends Season 2

Respawn Entertainment has just shared the first details regarding the Apex Legends Season 2 battle pass. The details show signs that the developer has looked into a lot of complaints from the current Season that is about to end in the game.

Apex Legends’ lead product manager Lee Horn shared details on a post. While the major details of the battle pass will be saved until EA Play live stream, the developer does, however, say that it comes with many high-level improvements that include better rewards and for not so much of a grinding anymore.

The biggest change they will bring is the reduced time it will take players to reach level 100 from the start of the battle pass tiers. Season 2 will be much reduced compared to Season 1, which we have to admit was a grind. Horn explains that the way this would be sped up is with the help of challenges that will be weekly, along with daily challenges as well.

Starting in Season 2, you’ll be able to complete a mix of Daily and Weekly Challenges to level up your Battle Pass. If you miss a few weeks or start late, your Weekly Challenges will still be around for you when you return, and you can complete them all at once.

While we don’t want to introduce wacky challenges that drastically warp the way you play the game, these challenges should provide some interesting variation from game-to-game. This means all players should feel more rapid Battle Pass progression and the journey will hopefully be more fun and interesting. Also, this addition should allow players who can only dedicate a few hours a week to the game to make a very deep cut into their Battle Pass progression.

We might get a hint on what the challenges would be like with an early look next week. According to the post, new Legendary Hunt LTE challenges are coming to the game which will involve completing specific tasks in order to get a new skin for Bloodhound as well as some other rewards. These challenges will go live on when the Season 2 begins later in June.

As for the high-quality rewards in Season 2, Horn says that the battle pass will contain three more Legendary items that the first pass. There will be Legendary items at level 1, 25, 50, 75, and 100.

We’re adding three Legendary items to the Battle Pass and there will now be a Legendary item every 25 Battle Pass levels in the premium track, including at purchase (that’s level 1, level 25, level 50, level 75, and level 100). Our goal is to have a nice balance of cool character exclusives and cosmetics for everyone (like weapon skins). The level 100 reward will be an evolving weapon skin with a special recolor version for those players who make it to level 110.
