This Apex Legends Rampart Guide will show you how to play as the new Legend in the latest season of the game. Apex Legends Season 6 Boosted is now live and it brings along a new Legend into the arena with quite some heavy weapons at her disposal.

If you thought Wattson was a good base defender, Rampart brings another level of base defense to mix things up and make them spicy in the matches. Rampart is an expert modder who is quite famous as she has made her name in underground fight clubs. You will find her talking big and has the ballistics to back it up.

Rampart is a blue-collar, private business owner who just needs a big gun and a backpack full of scrap metal to get by in the dangerous, wild-west world of the Outlands. Before opening her popular modding shop on Gaea, Ramya Parekh (Rampart for short) made a name for herself in the underground gauntlet circuit. Parekh climbed to the top showcasing pure skill using her custom-modded gear. She began taking jobs from smugglers, Syndicate members, and everyone in between. Some say it ain’t great unless it’s got “Rampart” written on it.

Now that we know a little bit about Rampart, let’s dive into her abilities and how you should use them in matches.

Rampart Abilities

This list contains all the abilities that are special to Rampart. We will first list the abilities and then detail the best ways to use them.

Passive Ability – Modded Loader: Increased magazine capacity and faster reloads when using LMGs and the Minigun.
Tactical Ability – Amped Cover: Build a crouch cover wall, which deploys a full cover amped wall that blocks incoming shots and amps outgoing shots.
Ultimate Ability – Emplaced Minigun “Sheila”: Place a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. High ammo capacity, long reload time.

Rampart Combat Tips

Rampart is a great base defense specialist and team player, especially if you have a good team with you with good communication. Rampart’s Modded Loader ability helps her more than others in the team, which allows her to have increased magazine size and quicker reloads when using LMGs or her Minigun.

If you prefer LMGs, especially the Spitfire like me, this ability actually boosts the weapon and allows you more bullets and faster reload times. The Spitfire already has a good amount of bullets but paired with an Extended Magazine, it becomes a beast. Rampart’s passive ability helps even further by giving more bullets and cutting down the reload time.

Rampart’s Amped Cover ability allows her to deploy a crouch-sized bulletproof shield that blocks incoming damage but boosts outgoing shots. While this may seem a really powerful mechanic, the shield is quite small and forces players to crouch. You also have to be mindful that the shield works best if you are at a position higher than the opponents. Firing off from a high location gives you the best cover from the front. In addition, if you want to deploy another shield, you have to wait for the cooldown period of 30 seconds.

The Ultimate ability is the Emplaced Minigun “Sheila” which is a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. This minigun has a 150 ammo capacity, but infinite ammo reserves.

Rampart shines in the later stages of the match when things are about to get interesting. Her abilities allow your team to occupy a base and prepare it for any team looking to come towards you. Bases that are on higher positions like hills or buildings give your team an extra advantage and slightly more cover from opponents.
