Adventures of Pip Set to Launch on Nintendo Switch This Summer

Adventures of Pip Release

Tic Toc Games has announced to release the classic side-scrolling action platformer, Adventures of Pip on the Nintendo Switch. the game is planned for a release this Summer 2020. Adventures of Pip comes five years later after originally releasing on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 back in 2015.

Pip is a lowly single pixel in a 32-bit world who proves that you can’t judge a hero by the fidelity of his shades. Check out the gameplay trailer below:

In Adventures of Pip, the hero gains the ability to evolve and grow by absorbing pixels that are dropped by fallen foes. Those same pixels can then be used to blast through environment puzzles and enemies, devolving Pip back to a single pixel. Players will explore five stylized worlds and experience up to 10 hours of epic adventure saving Pip’s village from the evil Queen DeRezzia.

The game is inspired by classic platforms, where you will have to fight and defeat 32-bit bosses as a single-pixel or even as an 8-bt character. Pip also has three forms that you can evolve or devolve to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Each of the enemies have their own weakness and strength that you must unravel throughout the campaign.

Here are some of the key features of Adventures of Pip:

  • Evolve Pip from a single pixel by absorbing pixels from his fallen foes. Each evolution and devolution comes with their own abilities!
  • Music by Jake “Virt” Kaufman, composer for Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Shovel Knight, and more.
  • Development team credits include: Contra 4, BloodRayne: Betrayal, Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile, DuckTales Remastered, and more.

The game has got pretty good reviews when it was originally released back in 2015. Nintendo Switch was the only missing console that was yet to receive the game, and now you can play it on your portable Nintendo Switch console.
