Stray PS5

During the recent PlayStation 5 reveal event, a unique cat game called Stray was also revealed officially however this is not the first time this game was in the spotlight. A few years ago a few gifs were released about a cat game that was then called HK_Project. This HK_Project, teased earlier as cat gifs, is what Stray is today and it turns out that the game has been in development for PS5 and PC ever since.

According to the developers of the game, Annapurna Interactive reached out to them regarding the game back in April 2016 and since then the developers have been busy working on Stray and their final product is now in front of us as a beautiful game about a stray cat who must get back to its home no matter what the cost. In Stray, you will be playing as a virtual cat literally as you sneak under cars and meow at other inhabitants to annoy them.

At this point, not a lot of details have been shared by the developer and since the game is slated to arrive on PS5 and PC in 2021, the game is not yet complete as well. It is still under development however the teaser has given us a really good view of the tone and the feel of the game. The mysterious city is occupied by weird robot looking humans who are actually not humans at all. These are robots however more details about them will be shared in the future.

According to the official blog post, Viv, Creator & Game Director at BlueTwelve Studio details that the main inspiration behind creating a virtual cat was their own cats, Murtaugh, and Riggs. This gave us the unique idea of creating a unique experience playing as a cat in a video game. Apart from PS5, Stray is also releasing on PC. More details about the game will be shared in later stages as the release date of the game gets closer.
