With Activision’s latest announcement, it appears like we do not have to wait too long for a new Crash Bandicoot game because Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been announced and it is coming out this year on PS4.

Crash Bandicoot was launched back in 1996 on PlayStation 1 and it received two brilliant games later making it a trilogy that is until today marked as one of the best trilogies ever released for the original PlayStation console. Thanks to the N. Sane Trilogy, players of platforms other than PlayStation were also able to experience this brilliant franchise. However, the latest Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is all about the future and it looks good for Crash Bandicoot. Let us start with the brilliant new trailer before we jump further down in the details of the game.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a direct sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Warped left off. The story continues as Neo Cortex and Dr. N. Tropy are now free from their penitentiary and Crash, Coco ad friends must go across time and space to stop these three from taking over the entire multiverse. The developer Toys for Bob is back in the saddle and is currently developing the game.

The developer ensures that while Crash 4 will keep the core of what a Crash Bandicoot game is. It will continue to remain an intense and zany 3D platforming game defined by Crash’s brash attitude. The game will be tailored to cater to past, present and new Crash fans alike as the game features a reimagined and updated art style, new gameplay mechanics, and the ability to switch between modern and retro modes. This will help players who are looking for an old school platforming vibe from the game. The newer version will be more forgiving.
