Indie developers Grumpyface Studios and Oh My Me Games have announced the Nintendo Switch release date for Seafrog. Seafrog is a 2.5D ‘skate-troid,’ and it is coming out on Nintendo Switch this February 19 for $14.99. Grumpyface Studios is known for indie games such as Steven Universe: Save the Light, Teeny Titans, and Castle Doombad. The upcoming Nintendo Switch release of Seafrog is the title’s official debut on consoles. Seafrog was previously released on PC via Steam, and now the game is making its way to Nintendo Switch. The PC recently received a massive 2.0 update, and the Nintendo Switch version will be based on this updated version. The Nintendo Switch version will support both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. Pre-orders are now live on the Nintendo Switch store, and if you are interested in playing Seafrog, you can secure your copy right now. As of now, Seafrog is available only on PC via Steam.
Seafrog is a unique combination of a 2.5D action-puzzle platformer and Metroidvania, with the developers calling the game a ‘skate-troidvania’. This game puts you on a rocket-powered wrench, and you will use it to slide, grind, and perform different tricks through skatepark-inspired staged sets inside different ships on the sea. Seafrog also won IGN’s 2022 Rogue Jam Grand Prize, which had Reggi Fils-Aime and Matt Casamassina on the panel.
