Destiny 2: Renegades Praxic Blade Lightsaber Guide – How to Get

Destiny 2: Renegades Praxic Blade Lightsaber Guide

Destiny 2: Renegades lets you use both Light and Dark powers in the form of the Praxic Blade, which is basically the version of a lightsaber. The good thing is that acquiring this weapon is not as complicated as it may seem. Once you reach the right quest step, most of the journey is simple. In this Destiny 2: Renegades Praxic Blade Lightsaber Guide, we will show you how to unlock the Praxic Blade, a powerful laser sword, and complete the mission tied to it.

How to Unlock Praxic Blade Lightsaber in Destiny 2: Renegades

To earn the Praxic Blade, you must finish the Fire and Ice Exotic Mission. This mission becomes available when you reach Quest Step 33 of the Renegades campaign.

At this point, the game will ask you to meet with Aunor at the Praxic Temple. Doing this will take you into the Fire and Ice mission.

Destiny 2: Renegades – Fire and Ice Exotic Mission

The Fire and Ice mission has some challenges that may confuse you. So, we will show you how to complete these missions.

Getting the Imperium Door Codes

Follow the path at the start until you enter Firebase Imperator. Defeat Val Cal’ric, Door Technician, to get the Imperium Door Codes. Use these codes at the console to open the Blast Doors. Inside, you will reach a Courtyard full of Taken enemies. Clear them out, go through the portal, and pick up the Imbalanced Octant. Then climb into the central pillar to move forward.

Continue following the wall until you reach some large main doors. They are locked, so keep moving along the wall and turn left onto a ledge. At the dead end, look upward and jump up the platforms to continue across the wall. Before reaching the locked doors again, turn left to find a cave.

Inside the cave, ignore the disappearing platform in front of you. Instead, turn right into a separate room. Climb the rocks toward the back and reach the ceiling opening. You will enter a large drop, which takes you deeper into the mission.

Choosing the Correct Gates

After landing, you will find several gates, but the floor collapses as you move, so you must pick the correct door.

  1. Second gate on the right
  2. First gate on the right
  3. Third gate on the left wall in the right-side room
  4. First gate on the left
  5. Second gate on the left

Once you are out, climb up the debris on the walls. At the top, crouch walk along the ceiling above the room you just passed. Stay to the right side until you spot a hole in the wall. Go inside to reach a room full of Taken Hobgoblins.

Reach Pyramid Node

Ignore the Hobgoblins and move left. Climb the rocks, enter the tall tower, and find the open window. Use the platforms to reach a Pyramid Node. Interact with the Node using the Imbalanced Octant to open the next path.

Balancing the Black and White Blights

You will now enter a room with:

  • 2 Black Blights on the left,
  • 2 White Blights on the right.

Each Blight must be filled with orbs of its matching color. Both sides must also stay balanced while filling. You get the orbs by killing enemies in specific orders:

Black Orb
  • Kill two Taken Centurions or
  • Kill two Cabal Centurions
White Orb
  • Kill a Cabal Centurion, then a Taken Centurion or
  • Kill a Taken Centurion, then a Cabal Centurion

Once all four Black and White Blights are filled and balanced, enemies disappear. Go to the center and interact with the pillar to Calibrate the Octant, turning it into the Balanced Octant item. A portal will appear in the earlier room, so now go back to it.

Use the Balanced Octant on the Pyramid Node, then go back through the portal. A short cutscene shows the world flipping. This leads to the boss fight.

Boss Fight – Disciple of Harrow

The boss uses a Solar machine gun and has three simple phases:

  1. Damage him
  2. Break his shield generators
  3. Repeat until the last phase

During his final phase, he becomes immune and summons two Black Blights. You need to fill these with 4 Black Orbs each.

To spawn orbs:

Kill a Cabal Centurion. Find the platform with the Pyramid Node and interact with it. A Taken Centurion appears, kill it to drop Black Orbs. Throw the orbs equally into both Black Blights. Repeat until all Blights are full.

This unlocks the final damage phase. Finish the boss.

After the fight, you are teleported to a chamber. Interact with the altar to claim the Praxic Blade. Your first reward will include either a Blue or Green Dark Matter Crystal.

You can re-play the mission on Legendary Difficulty to earn Catalysts and get the crystal you didn’t receive the first time, but only after completing the entire Renegades campaign.

Praxic Blade God Roll

After unlocking the sword, there are 20 additional parts you can collect to build the perfect God Roll version of the Praxic Blade. These parts belong to:

  • Praxic Blade Form
  • Blade Focus
  • Power Core
  • Catalysts
