The combat in the game depends on what character class you choose in the game, as said by the developers. There are three character classes to chose from that vary in different combat style and social interactions:

Solo: Solos are characters that are like professional hitmen. They have the ability to sense danger and possible threats in their surroundings.

Techie:Techies are hackers in the game that can build gadgets and traps. Hack and sabotage tech in a combat situation to their advantage.

NetRunner: This character class individual can plug themselves into networks and use data as a weapon. They have advanced hacking techniques that can allow them to plug into the minds of certain enemies and inflict viruses and damage onto their minds.

When it comes to more cyber ware, you can get the kiroshi optical scanner that you use to scan different objects, enemy stats and their weaknesses.
