Developer and publisher Fatshark has announced the return of a fan-favourite location from Warhammer Vermintide 1 to Warhammer Vermintide 2 with the Return To The Reik update. Fatshark brings the iconic location to the second game as it celebrates 10 years of Warhammer Vermintide 2 with this free update, available to all players. Return to the Reik brings an expanded, boat-focused gameplay that puts deck skirmishes front and center. You will return to fighting on the swaying platforms along with a barge and riverbanks.

If you played Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, you would remember this mission as it is a fan-favourite from the first game, and it brings nostalgia along with some much-needed changes and new encounters. The new, revamped map brings added routes, set-piece moments, and boat props to give the River Reik mission a different flavor compared to the first game. Despite the subtle changes here and there, the core gameplay remains the same, according to Warhammer Vermintide 2.
