The Microsoft Store page for Vanquish Remastered has leaked the release date of a potential remastered version of Vanquish. According to the store, Vanquish Remastered is slated to be released in February 2020. After the original game, this is the first time we are getting the franchise back and it could bode well for its future as well.
The original Vanquish was released back in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PS3. At this point, we’ve only seen the Remastered listed on the Microsoft store however since the original game was not exclusive, it is much likely that the Remastered will come for PS4 as well. The game page lists that the Xbox One X version will deliver 4K visuals at 60fps so we can expect similar performance with PS4 Pro as well.
Not many details are known about the game at this point however the official page describes the game as:
The hit sci-fi shooter returns. An overpopulated Earth suffocating under limited resources looks to Providence, the solar-powered space colony for support. When Providence is suddenly taken over by a mutinous group and its technology used to devastate cities, it’s up to a specially trained unit of space marines to reclaim the colony.
Equipped with BLADE, the experimental weapon system that can scan, copy, and save up to three existing weapons, space DARPA agent Sam Gideon must infiltrate Providence, defeat legions of future-tech foes, and disable the energy transmitter threatening life on Earth.
You can head over the official page of Vanquish to check it out however the game is not available to purchase right now. The release date is slated for February 18, 2020, so we can expect that pre-orders for the game may go live soon after an official announcement. Just like the original version, Sega is publishing the remaster and PlatinumGames is the developer. You can also check some screenshots below.
