Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Getting a New Developer, Delayed Past 2021

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2

Paradox Interactive announces that its upcoming title Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has been delayed once again and this time, the game has been pushed beyond 2021. Another important piece of news here is that Paradox has also announced that the developer Hardsuit Labs is no longer working on Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 as well and in its place, a new developer is now working on the title which will continue the work where Hardsuit Labs left and will complete the development on the title.

Paradox has not yet revealed the name of the new developer at this time however, during its latest earnings report, the publisher detailed:

We have now chosen to postpone the release of [Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2] further, and we will not be launching the game in 2021. We have also decided that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of Bloodlines 2, and we have started a collaboration with a new studio partner to finish work on the game. This has been a difficult decision, but we are convinced that it is the right way forward to do the game justice.

This is not the first time that Paradox has some bad news to share about Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. The game has been delayed multiple times already however this time around, it is big because the complete developer has been switched, and now a new developer is working on the title. Paradox might reveal the new developer sometime later however with the game now pushed out of 2021, we have a long time until we actually see Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 coming out, if it even does come out someday.

Announced on the official website, Paradox has also detailed that it is no longer taking pre-orders for the title which does not bode well. The publisher states that the pre-orders have been stopped temporarily because the new release date is not announced at this point. We might see pre-orders opening up again once the publisher announces a new release date for the game.
