Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch

The recently released remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is launching on PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch next month. This was announced by the game’s official Twitter account along with a detailed blog post by Activision. Activision also shared a new trailer to celebrate the announcement. As detailed on the blog, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will feature enhanced next-gen upgrades for both PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. It will offer the sharpest and the smoothest Pro Skater 1 and 2 experience on consoles to-date on the next-gen consoles. The remaster will bring all of the classic levels, pro skaters, and old-school tricks featured in the original titles including new skaters, robust Create-A-Park, and Create-A-Skater editing tools, with a strong soundtrack featuring 37 new tracks and a lot more.

Coming to the technical aspect, both PS5 and Xbox Series releases will feature improved resolution, spatial audio, high-fidelity atmospherics, and much more. 1080p will give you super crips 120FPS however it will drop down to 60 FPS in native 4K on both consoles. The levels will come to life with sharper dynamic shadows, reflections, and lens flare along with enhanced skater textures and more. It is worth mentioning here that the Xbox Series S will render at 1440p and upscale to 4K.

While the Nintendo Switch release will lack all these visual enhancements, it will offer the level of portability that no other console can offer and players will be able to shed and take their custom skate parks everywhere they go in their Nintendo Switch console. Digital Deluxe owners of the game on the current-gen will upgrade for free for the next-gen consoles.

Activision has started pre-orders for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series. Previous gen-owners can pay $10 extra to upgrade to the newer-gen. They will also get access to the secret skater The Ripper, retro gear for Create-A-Skater, and retro skins for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Rodney Mullen.
