CD Projekt RED has announced that its award-winning open-world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is coming to Xbox Game Pass on February 19, 2025. The developer is currently busy with the development of the latest title in its iconic franchise. A tech demo was featured during last year’s State of Unreal 2025 event, which showcased the technology on which the new game is currently being built.
Xbox Game Pass is the premium online service that offers players a healthy library of select video game titles to play for a subscription price. Now divided into multiple tiers, the Xbox Game Pass Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are upper-tier subscription models that not only offer an expanded library of new games but also classic games, additional services like EA Access, Day One Releases of every AAA release by Microsoft, and much more.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is Coming to Xbox Game Pass
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Hunt will bring the base game and its two expansion packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, to Xbox’s premium subscription service. It will be available only to Premium and Ultimate subscribers. Since its release in 2015, the title has snagged over 250 Game of the Year Awards and 1,000 industry awards. It is the third instalment in The Witcher Saga and has managed to sell over 60 million copies to date.
The game puts you in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher from the Wolf School, who sets out to look for Yennifer of Vengerberg and his ward, Ciri. The game features six expansive maps (including expansions) where players can hunt down monsters, complete treasure hunts for epic gear, and meet a diverse cast of NPCs while avoiding the Wild Hunt on Geralt’s trail. Depending on the choices players make along the journey, they will reach one of the multiple endings and meet many iconic characters of the franchise, such as Triss Merigold, the bard Dandelion, or the Bloody Baron.
The Witcher is CD Projekt RED’s most iconic franchise that has not only received multiple mainstream releases but also separate video game spin-offs. The developer also hosted a Witcher in Concert Tour in 2025 to celebrate 10 years of the third game. Earlier this year, a brand-new The Witcher Game was also announced for PC and mobile platforms, which is not a mainstream release, but rather a Reigns title.
