TEAMGROUP has announced that it has managed to secure multiple international patents, which marks a major milestone in its R&D department for innovative storage solutions. TEAMGROUP’s three solid-state drives, PD20M, P36D, and P35S, have managed to acquire patents in the United States, Japan, and Taiwan. These three storage drives feature innovative features like the magnetic portable design, integration of storage devices with peripherals, and one-click destruction for confidential data.
TEAMGROUP aims to meet the diverse consumer needs with these new products, but also highlight the company’s strong capabilities in product development. The new models P36D and P35S were unveiled during COMPUTEX 2025, and they drew wide attention and enthusiastic response both from end-users and commercial partners.
The TEAMGROUP PD20M Magnetic External SSD is compatible with Apple’s MagSafe magnetic attachment function. It can connect seamlessly with mobile devices, and it has received patents in both the United States and Japan. The U.S. invention patent for a magnetic suction storage device and the Japan utility model patent for a magnetic attraction memory device. It combines a stylish appearance with lightweight portability and is an ideal option for people who want to expand their iPhone storage.
Another great offering, the TEAMGROUP CinemaPr P36D Docking External SSD is designed for short-term video creators. It integrates the storage capacity required for high-resolution recording with versatile functions. It has managed to secure a Taiwan Utility model patent for an expansion dock with storage capability, along with the Taiwan design patent. It supports instant recording and saving, cable management, and tripod installation.
The T-CREATE EXPERT P3S Destroyed Portable SSD is developed for professionals handling highly confidential data. It comes built-in with a circuit destruction design that has been granted a Taiwan utility model patent for a storage device equipped with a one-click data destruction function. Unlike conventional external SSDs that rely on encryption or formatting to protect information, it offers a brand-new approach to prevent the risk of sensitive data leaks.
TEAMGROUP is currently working on the development of the next-generation CAMM2 (Compression Attached Memory Module 2) memory modules, which combine new architecture with advanced thermal design. This is aimed at high-performance mobile platforms and AI systems, and it has managed to acquire the Taiwan utility model patent for a memory heat dissipation device.
