Chibig Studio has finally announced the release date for its upcoming sea adventure game Summer in Mara. Originally planned for a Spring 2020 release, Summer in Mara is now releasing on June 16, 2020, on Nintendo Switch and Steam. The developer has also released a free game demo on Steam and PC players can jump in the demo and experience a small slice of the upcoming title right now.
Summer in Mara was revealed by Chibig Studio during March’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2020 and it is one of the titles we are really looking forward to playing. Apart from the PC demo, Nintendo Switch players will also get the demo to try out the game before making the purchase. Summer in Mara is a unique blend of farming simulation and narrative-driven adventure game.
You will get to visit new islands, make new friends and learn more about the evil corporation Elit who is planning to take over the beautiful land of Mara. You play as Koa and your goal is to make Mara a better place. The game also features character development and this was a big focus for the development team as well. You will see it reflected in different characters that you meet throughout your journey.
Summer in Mara has over 30+ hours of gameplay during which you will be able to complete 250+ missions and 20+ characters to meet and expand your social circle at the same time. Different upgrades, secrets, and treasures will ensure that you are always exploring new areas and hunting down secrets. You can head over to Steam and download the free demo right now which offers a small chunk of the full game.
After the initial release on Nintendo Switch and PC, Summer in Mara will also release on PS4 and Xbox One later this year. PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game are slated for release on June 16, 2020.
