Frontier Foundry has announced the launch of the second major update for Stranded: Alien Dawn called The Tame and Train Update. With the new The Tame and Train Update, Stranded: Alien Dawn players will be able to tame the alien life around them and then train them for using them in various tasks. The Tame and Train Update will arrive on January 24, 2023, for all players and this will expand the early access version of the game even further with a range of new features.
The new update will allow the survivors in Stranded: Alien Dawn to increase their chances of even more as they will be able to train and tame the alien wildlife around them. The update also adds three new dog species to the game. You will first need to research the Animal Training skill and once it is done, your survivors will unlock the ability to tame animals. Some of the species will also be pretty hostile to you if you fail to tame them so it is still a risky task. Once you have managed to tame an alien creature, you can name, heal, train, play, lead, and slaughter it for resources. The new Ranch activity allows you to control their taming and training priorities.
As you tame alien wildlife, you will figure out that they come with various benefits such as some species will also defend against other alien threats. This of course comes with a price because you will need to keep the tamed animals happy and comfortable by feeding them daily and housing them safely at night. Playing and bonding with these tamed aliens will grant your survivors boosts to relaxation and happiness.
As part of the new update, a new survivor Hugo Delano is also coming to the game. He was a zookeeper in his past life so he fits in the update perfectly since he can work his magic around the alien wildlife as well. He can train and tame any creature in the game, and he is also excellent at farming. Apart from the new survivor, the new update is also bringing a range of new resources, recipes, and animal statues along with five new Steam achievements all revolving around animal husbandry skills.
We earlier reviewed the early access release of Stranded: Alien Dawn so make sure that you check it out. The First major update released for the game was Dunes and Moons and it was released back in November 2022. Now after two months, we are getting another major update for the game which makes the game even more complex and adds more depth to it.
