Unlocking new recipes in StarRupture is not just about collecting items. From advanced factory machines to better food and personal gear, recipe progression revolves around two important systems: the Orbital Cargo Launcher and the Recipe Station. In this StarRupture Recipes Guide, we will show you how you can unlock new recipes in the game easily.
How to Unlock New Recipes in StarRupture
In Star Rupture, new recipes are unlocked in two primary ways.
- You can unlock it through Orbital Cargo Launcher
- You can unlock it through Recipe Station
The Orbital Cargo Launcher mainly handles things such as new machines, workstations, and gear upgrades. The Recipe Station, which you unlock through the launcher itself, is used for unlocking individual crafted items and cooking recipes.
Unlocking Recipes Through Orbital Cargo Launcher
The Orbital Cargo Launcher is designed to work alongside your factory. Once your factory is powered and producing items, those items are automatically sent into the launcher. As long as production keeps running, progress continues without you needing to interact with it constantly.
StarRupture features five different corporations, excluding the Training Corporation. Each corporation focuses on its own type of technology. As you advance through their levels, they ask for different items. This forces you to adjust your factory setup multiple times, keeping progression active rather than repetitive.
After everything is set up correctly, the process becomes mostly passive. You simply wait while your items to the corporation are shipped and earn you a reputation. During this time, you are free to explore the planet, gather resources, or prepare for upcoming unlocks.
Although Data Points can be used to speed things up, it is better to hold them. Their real value comes later when unlocking recipes through the Recipe Station.
Unlocking Recipes Through Recipe Station
The Recipe Station focuses on unlocking individual items rather than entire machines. This includes new items and cooked food recipes. Unlike the Orbital Cargo Launcher, nothing happens automatically here.
To unlock something, you must manually bring specific items to the Recipe Station and place them into the machine. Once all required materials are submitted, the recipe becomes available. Some recipes also need Blueprints, which must be found and can be found on the map.
Inside the Recipe Station, you will see two tabs on the left. One top tab covers items that are produced by factory machines, while the other bottom tab is dedicated entirely to cooked food.
Data Points
Most recipe unlocks at the Recipe Station require Data Points. These are obtained by using the Analyzing Station to process certain items. Raw food, bug parts, and damaged technology found during exploration can all be analyzed for Data Points.
Because many recipes demand large amounts of Data Points, spending them carelessly can slow progress. Some unlocks can cost up to 1,000 Data Points, and there are many recipes to collect. Saving them specifically for recipe unlocks will make progression much smoother.
Finding Blueprints in the World
Blueprints are not crafted or researched in stations. Instead, they are discovered during exploration. They are commonly found inside blueprint chests located at Abandoned Bases scattered around the map.
