Comedy Open-World RPG Soccer Story Release Date Announced

Publisher No More Robots and developer PanicBarn have announced the release date for their comedy, open-world RPG Soccer Story. Soccer Story is a game about saving the whole world with a soccer ball and it will be released on November 29, 2022. Before its final release, the developers are holding a final beta for the game and if you are interested in trying out a small slice of it, you can do it right now.

Check out the overview trailer for Soccer Story below which details the game’s setting really well:

The story of Soccer Story is set after a year since ‘The Calamity’ tore apart the foundations of soccer and it is now banned everywhere. No one is allowed to even kick a ball, let alone play a soccer match. Soccer Inc. has taken over and now controls who gets to play soccer and who does not. The game features physics-driven gameplay mechanics and you can solve every problem in the game with your magic ball.

You will take on the bad guys in 1v1s, compete in a range of different sports events with your soccer ball and even solve different puzzles with it. As the world around you forgets about soccer, it is now up to you to help everyone remember what soccer was and get everyone playing the game once again.

Key features of Soccer Story include:

  • Drop your soccer ball and play anywhere! The world is full of goals, puzzles, and secrets – it’s up to you to find them!
  • Play a single-player story full of quirky characters, quests, rogue refs, and wacky soccer-adjacent sports
  • Build your soccer career and do battle against the fiercest soccer teams like literal sharks, toddlers, old-age pensioners, and ninjas
  • Save soccer and restore peace and harmony to the world
  • Grab a friend for a four-player local multiplayer match mode with a full roster of teams and animal captains
  • Fishing Minigame

If you are interested in jumping in the beta for Soccer Story, you can head over here and apply there. You will need to add the game to your wishlist if you want to try the beta so if you are interested in the game, simply head over to Steam, and add the game to your wishlist and you will be able to try out the final beta of the game before it launches later this month.
