SNK Corporation has announced the release of the NEOGEO Pocket Color Selection on Nintendo Switch later this summer. The NEOGEO Pocket Color Selection will include classic King of Fighters R-2 and Samurai Shodown!2. Both of the titles will play and look exactly the same as they did when they were released on NEOGEO Pocket Color back in 1999.
With their release on Nintendo Switch, players will have the chance to duke it out with a single copy of each game and change the exterior designs of their virtual handhelds at any time they want to. With both of these titles arriving later this summer, another NEOGEO Pocket Color classic title SNK Gal’s Fighters is now available on Nintendo Switch and you can jump in some classic fighting action right now as you wait for the two fighting titles to arrive later this year. Both King of Fighters R-2 and Samurai Shodown!2 will cost $7.99 on Nintendo Switch upon their release. Key features of King of Fighters R-2 include:
- 23 fighters in total, including hidden characters! Of course, the game is also in color, bringing these characters into sharper, more vivid definition!
- Edit a fighter in Making Mode for extra spin on the game! *Not available during DC data transfer
- Take on a friend in either Tabletop Mode or Handheld Mode. Find out who is worthy of the KOF throne!
While key features of Samurai Shodown!2 include:
- Each character has two playstyles (slash and burst), so pick which one you feel comfortable with!
- Completing certain requirements nets you special cards that can power up your characters!
- Find out who has the true Samurai Spirit by taking on a friend in either Tabletop Mode or Handheld Mode!
