Might and Delight have revealed their brand-new title in their long-running Shelter franchise, Shelter 3 in which you become the leader of an elephant pack. Shelter 3 is slated for release via Steam on March 30, 2021. Might and Delight’s Shelter franchise is known for different titles that focus on animals and their welfare and the latest title continues the trend of the franchise as this time around, you experience the life of a leader of an elephant herd.
As the leader, it is your duty to stay together with your pack, keep everyone checked, make sure that everyone is fed, and also protect the calves from crocodiles and tigers. These additional responsibilities fall on your shoulder as your herd’s matriarch is old and needs your help to reunite the herd. According to her, the herd is not too far away so the ultimate decision falls on you to choose a path for them and share her memories and wisdom as you progress in your journey.

As you can see from the two trailers above, Shelter 3 features a distinctive art style which is unique for titles in the Shelter franchise however Shelter 3 appears to be the most good-looking title to come out so far. The game features jungles, deserts, and grasslands that are rendered in unique patterns while accompanied by a great original soundtrack composed by Retro Family. Lead programmer, Sofia Papworth commented:

With Shelter 3 we wanted to explore a new shape of family life; being part of a bigger community and taking responsibility for the big and small alike.
Previous titles in the franchise include Shelter, Shelter 2, Paws: A Shelter 2 Game, and Meadow. This makes Shelter 3 the fifth title in the franchise and also the first title to focus on community and preserving the wisdom of earlier generations rather than survival, children, and coming of age which was the main theme of the previous titles.
