Rainbow Six Siege Sam Fisher

Ubisoft has announced the full details of the third season of Rainbow Six Siege Year 5: Operation Shadow Legacy. As part of this brand new Operation, Sam ‘Zero’ Fisher from the Splinter Cell franchise is finding his way into Rainbow Six Siege as a playable Operation in addition to an entirely reworked Chalet map and additional gameplay features.

Operation Shadow Legacy will allow players to discover Sam Fisher as an Attacker named Zero who is equipped with a brand new gadget, the Argus Launcher, a two-way drill camera. The cameras are launched to piece soft or reinforced walls, windows, and hatches and can stick to any surface. Once the camera is deployed, Zero can rotate the camera’s vision to see the other side of the wall. Each camera is also equipped with one laser charge.

The laser charge is capable of damaging Defenders or destroy their gadgets. Sam Fisher is also bringing his own unique weapon the SC3000K and melee weapon: the Karambit. Along with the addition of a brand new Attacker to the game, the new Operation is also bringing a reimagined Chalet map which has been completely reworked. The development team has improved the first and second floor of the map and the roof is also now traversable.

A hallway has been added to the map in the basement which will improve rotation and the Trophy site has been switched to the Dining room. In anticipation of the new season, Ubisoft is also giving players a chance to experience the game and the new Operation for free with a free weekend. Starting from August 27 and ending on September 4, 2020, players will be able to play Rainbow Six Siege for free with access to all maps, modes, and 20 legacy Operators.

Ahead of the free week, Ubisoft has also launched its brand new mobile and desktop web application SquadFinder that is designed to help players match with teammates according to their language, playstyle, and overall game habits. You can download SquadFinder right now from the official Rainbow Six Siege website. Further game updates also include:
