Saber Interactive has announced the PC and console release date for its upcoming bus simulator game, Bus Bound. Bus Bound launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on April 30, 2026. Developed by its own subsidiary, stillalive Studios, Bus Bound is the latest simulation to come out from the publisher, which has slowly expanded its portfolio revolving around different simulation titles like the previously released Docked, Roadcraft, and SnowRunner.
The developer is calling Bus Bound a driving-focused sim instead of a typical bus simulator title, where the focus revolves around empire building and expanding bus routes. Players will get to experience a true simulation of how a civilian bus operates while offering a decent variety of bus options to drive around a vibrant city. To celebrate the announcement, the publisher has released a brand-new trailer showcasing more of the sleepy neighborhoods and bustling urban intersections of the city.
Bus Bound Release Date Announced for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S
Bus Bound centers on navigating a fully simulated city environment, where players operate a fleet of licensed buses across different districts. The game features 17 vehicles at launch, including models inspired by manufacturers such as New Flyer and Blue Bird, with routes spanning dense urban intersections and quieter residential areas. Progression is tied to improving public transport infrastructure, unlocking new routes, upgrading stops, and gradually shaping how each district evolves.
The experience also includes online co-op for up to four players, allowing teams to manage multiple routes simultaneously within the same city. Customization plays a key role, with unlockable buses, visual styles, and upgrades tied to player performance and rider satisfaction. A playable demo is currently available on Steam, with multiplayer progress limited to the host.
Bus Bound will ship in two versions. The Standard Edition will include the full base game, and it costs $29.99, while the Deluxe Edition includes not just the base game but also the Horizon Speed 40ft bus, along with three retro skins. It also includes the Bus Pass, which will grant players access to Bus Bound’s future content, which will arrive in the form of three expansions later in 2026. Pre-orders for both editions are now live, and you can secure your copy right now to gain access to a bonus Horizon Hydrogen 40ft Gen2 bus and three modern skins.
The game is slated for release on April 30, 2026, on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players keen to try it out can download and play its free demo through Steam right now.
