Ubisoft has announced the Closed Alpha dates for its free-to-play team-based sports game Roller Champions. Roller Champions is a game where players skate, pass, dodge and score in a fan-packed arena and is slated for release in 2020. The sign-ups for Closed Beta are now open and anyone who wants to jump in the Closed Alpha can sign up for a chance to play Roller Champions Closed Alpha starting March 11, 4 PM UTC, until March 23, 8 PM UTC exclusively on Uplay for PC.
Roller Champions has been developed by Ubisoft Montreal alongside Ubisoft Winnipeg and Ubisoft Pune. It is a brand new sports sensation that delivers exhilarating and fast-paced team PvP gameplay on wheels. The game is played in teams of two and each team has three players. These players are pitted against each other in arenas around the world and the fans cheer every time a team gets hold of the ball or pass it to a friend. The ultimate goal is to score in the illuminated hoop at the top of the ring.
Roller Champions Closed Alpha will provide you with a chance to experience the game while it is under development and will also allow players to share their feedback with the developers. All Closed Beta participants will also earn a special reward which is a phase-exclusive in-game outfit that will be available to all players will the full game comes out later this year.
The latest Closed Beta will include additional features like:
- Character Customization: Players can create a character and choose from a list of 70 items to customize their character including gloves, skates, clothes and helmet/hair styles.
- New Arena: Curvature, elevation and other environmental elements provide improved navigation and gameplay, and players will be able to experience the biggest and most impressive arena yet, Chichén Itzá.
- New Moves: Players can check out exciting moves, including the extended tackle and the air tackle, as well as new team moves like the grapple boost, grapple double jump and grapple double pump.
You can head over to the official site and sign up for the Closed Alpha right now before all spots are filled. The full game is slated for release later in 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices as a free-to-play title.
