This Resident Evil Requiem Safe Codes and Locations Guide details where to find all five safes and how to open them. In Resident Evil Requiem, there are five locked safes hidden throughout Grace’s sections of the story. Opening all of them rewards you with the trophy/achievement. Each safe normally requires a code that you would learn by reading certain files, but the combinations never change except on Insanity difficulty, so you can open them even if you skip the documents.
Safe Codes and Locations Guide – Resident Evil Requiem
Since the game has no chapter select and everything can be missed, it is smart to keep separate manual saves as you move through different areas. None of the safes appear during Leon’s gameplay. They are all found while playing as Grace.
To open a safe, rotate the dial in the correct left/right order to three numbers. After entering the full sequence, press the confirm button to unlock it. If you enter a wrong number or turn the dial the wrong way, it will reset, and you can try again as many times as needed.
Bar & Lounge – Safe# 1
The first safe is in the Bar & Lounge on the second floor of the Care Center. You pass through this room as part of the story. It is the same area where you meet the singing zombie in a white dress. The safe is placed on the bar counter behind some enemies. Inside, you will receive three Antique Coins.
- To open it on Casual difficulty, turn the dial Left 10, Right 80, then Left 30.
- To open it on Insanity difficulty, use Right 20, Left 50, then Right 30.
There is a file later in the game, File: Bar & Lounge Safe Code, that reveals this code, but reading it is not required.
Examination Room – Safe# 2
The second safe is found in the Examination Room. After using the keycard in the Central Hall to unlock the east wing, continue forward until you reach this room. The safe is tucked inside a cabinet in the corner and also contains three Antique Coins.
- For Casual, input Right 30, Left 10, Right 50.
- For Insanity, use Left 50, Right 30, Left 90.
Again, the solution normally comes from a related file, File: Examination Room Safe Code, though you can open it without ever picking it up.
Furnace – Safe# 3
The third safe is located in the Furnace area in the Care Center Basement at Rhodes Hill. First, collect the Joint Plug from the Holding Cells Corridor and use it to open the Furnace room door in the central basement section. In the next connected room, check a small side office on the right to find the safe. Instead of coins, this one contains a document that reveals Mr. Raccoon’s locations on your map.
- To open it on Casual, set the dial to Right 60, Left 40, Right 80.
- To open it on Insanity, enter Left 70, Right 50, Left 20.
The intended code was originally discovered in a basement file found earlier when playing as Leon, but entering it manually still works.
Sterilization Chamber – Safe# 4
Later in the ARK section, you briefly control Leon before switching back to Grace. After reaching the next typewriter save point as Grace, go through the open door on the right to enter the Sterilization Chamber. This is where you encounter your first Licker enemy in this area. The safe is placed on the window directly ahead as you enter. Move carefully to avoid alerting the Licker while accessing it.
- On Casual difficulty, input Right 10, Left 90, Right 20.
- On Insanity difficulty, use Left 80, Right 50, Left 0.
A file, File: Sterilization Chamber Code, in this room contains the solution, but it is optional.
Monitor Control Room – Safe# 5
The fifth and final safe is in the Monitor Control Room. After obtaining the Magnetic Key during the story, unlock the red door near the upstairs typewriter. Opening this will take you to a lobby with red flooring. This area has a green door on its left. Enter the first green door. There, you will interact with the monitor placed on the right side to access the safe.
- For Casual, the combination is Left 50, Right 60, Left 80.
- For Insanity, turn the dial Right 20, Left 0, Right 70.
The matching file, File: Monitor Control Room Safe, explains the code, but you don’t actually need to read it.
Reward
Once all five safes are opened, the “No Safe is Safe” trophy/achievement will unlock. Just remember that because there is no chapter replay, careful saving can prevent you from missing one permanently.
