This Reanimal Chapter 8 Walkthrough Guide details how you can complete the eighth chapter, The Watcher, and find all collectibles in it. Chapter 8 throws you into an area filled with snipers, tight spaces, and several hidden collectibles. This chapter also contains a few important trophies and leads directly into the next major section of the game, so make sure you don’t miss anything.

Chapter 8 Walkthrough Guide – Reanimal

At the start, head all the way to the right and step inside the building ahead. Climb upstairs, and you will witness a sniper playing piano before another sniper shoots him. After this short moment, you are free to explore the rooms nearby.

Poster 18 (Secret 44)

Go into the room to the left of the dead sniper and take the stairs up. Enter the next room on the left. You will see a poster placed on the wall there. Make sure to grab it before advancing into the next sniper section, where you will need to hide.

Poster 19 (Secret 45)

After collecting the previous poster, move carefully toward the right side of the building. Stay behind walls to avoid getting hit by sniper bullets. Eventually, you will find a wall where you are meant to climb your partner up. Do not climb yet.

Instead, move further right behind that same wall. Tucked out of sight behind it is another poster. If you already climbed up, you could drop back down to grab it. However, if you find a door you can use, that means you’ve gone too far.

Once collected, return and lift your partner over the wall, then go through the door directly above where the poster was located.

Moving Through the Apartments

In the hallway ahead, enter the door on the right. After reaching the next room, jump into the bathtub on the right side and climb out through the nearby window. Cross the wooden plank outside and jump through the next window.

Continue heading right, then walk down the stairs. You need to keep moving right and jump over the washing machines to exit the house entirely.

Barbed Wire and the Shooting Range

Outside, follow the lower path along the barbed wire fences. Climb over the body stuck on the fence, then hop over a wooden crate. Move down and right quickly because a crawling enemy will begin chasing you and can explode if it gets too close.

After that, enter the door on the right to reach a shooting range area.

Trophy – “Friends Like These”

Inside the shooting range, pick up a weapon from the right corner. Shoot your AI companion to unlock this trophy. If you miss, you can try again. This action eliminates your partner, but you will respawn at the beginning of this room afterward.

Critter 5 & Mask 18 (Secret 46)

Now focus on the practice targets. Shoot the third dummy from the left until it drops a key. Pick up the key and unlock the door on the right side of the shooting range.

You will enter a small alley. Immediately interact with the oven located above you. A critter will jump out and run back toward the shooting range. Follow it and shoot it with the gun. When it dies, it leaves behind a mask. Pick it up.

This is the final critter and final mask in the game. If you’ve collected everything properly so far, you should receive the trophies: Critter Kill Hit and Beneath the Mask for eliminating all critters and collecting all masks.

Escaping the Sheep

Leave through the door on the right side. Then, you need to jump over the rusty car and squeeze through the narrow opening. Soon, the large sheep appears again.

Crouch behind nearby crates to hide from it. Wait for the sheep to step closer and for the screen to flash red. When it turns away, quietly move behind the shopping cart. Interact with the cart so a body falls off it, creating noise and distracting the sheep.

Remain crouched and hidden. When the sheep looks away again, push the shopping cart toward the right wall. Climb on top of it and climb your partner up. Another body drops down, so quickly return to hiding. The sheep will grab the body and leave, giving you time to safely climb up the wall on the right. Go through the next door, which is on the right.

Poster 20 (Secret 47)

After entering this new room, check the left side and open the elevator door. Inside, you will find the final poster of the chapter. This is also the final collectible and final secret overall. If you didn’t miss anything, you should unlock two trophies related to discovering all secrets: A Proper Gander and Hidden in Rubble.

Sniper Parking Garage Section

After passing through the door on the right, the sniper begins firing again. Stay protected behind pillars and carefully move downward toward the camera before heading right into a parking garage.

Advance between vehicles and concrete pillars to avoid being shot. Keep moving toward the right exit. While running, you can slide using L2/LT to reach cover faster if needed.

Bridge and Rocket Launcher

Outside, jump over a car and reach a damaged bridge. Interact with the rear of the car on the right and push it forward until it hits another vehicle. Then move to the left car and pull it backward to clear the path.

Return to the right car and push it again until it rolls downhill on its own. Stay close behind it to use it as moving cover from sniper fire. On the left, enter the yellow school bus.

Near the bus, interact with the rocket launcher. Aim toward the sniper positioned in the clock tower and fire.

Trophy – “Just Making Sure”

After defeating the sniper, move ahead and enter the debris on the right beneath the clock tower. Find the sniper’s fallen body and kick it to unlock the trophy: Just Making Sure.

Continue through the field while avoiding enemy soldiers. Soon, a tank will start firing at you. Use objects for cover and slowly move toward the front-left side of the area. There is a small crack in the wall where you can squeeze through to reach the tank’s side.

Nearby, you will find grenades close to the tank. Pick them up. Bait the tank into shooting; when it misses, quickly approach and throw a grenade. Make sure you are close enough for the throw to reach properly. After a successful hit, a soldier falls off the tank. Interact with the tank afterward to begin driving it. This marks the beginning of Chapter 9 and concludes Chapter 8.
