Omi Oh My AI Allows You to See the World Through the Eyes of an AI

Western Australian indie developer EverySecond Studio has officially launched Omi Oh My AI on Steam, marking the 1.0 release of its long-running ARG-lite puzzle project. The game is available now on PC, with a limited-time launch discount accompanying its debut.

Designed as a playful but pointed exploration of how artificial intelligence “sees” the world, Omi Oh My AI presents players with more than 300 puzzles spanning images, words, and numbers. Each challenge is curated by Omi, a fictional and decidedly quirky AI whose personality—and limitations—shape the experience in unexpected ways.

Rather than focusing on traditional logic puzzles, Omi Oh My AI draws inspiration from internet culture, early alternate reality games, and the visual language of CAPTCHA systems. Players are encouraged to rethink everyday assumptions, interpreting prompts through the lens of machine logic rather than human intuition. Simple questions often lead to unexpected answers, with puzzles designed to reward lateral thinking and curiosity.

The game’s tone blends nostalgia and experimentation, pulling from 1990s internet aesthetics and early ARG influences such as I Love Bees. That influence is reflected not only in the puzzles themselves, but also in how the game invites players to seek answers beyond the screen, occasionally nudging them toward online discussion and shared problem-solving.

EverySecond Studio says the project is intended to spark reflection on modern relationships with AI. How people interact with automated systems, where trust breaks down, and how meaning can be lost or reshaped when logic replaces context. Despite its AI-centric themes, the studio emphasizes that Omi Oh My AI is entirely human-made, with all photography, assets, and code created by the development team.

Development of the game was supported by funding from Screenwest in both 2019 and 2023, helping bring the project from early concepts to a full commercial release. The studio describes the launch as the culmination of years of iteration, community feedback, and experimentation.
