An updated version of Obakeidoro will be launching this week on the Nintendo Switch after the developer takes community feedback from players. The thrilling/heart-pounding game comes in an updated version on 12th August.

If you have never heard of Obakeidoro, it is basically a game of cops’n robbers, but you are instead hunted by a player monster. Humans will have to work together to stay away from the monster, while the player who is playing as the Monster will have to utilize their skills to catch each and every one of the humans. Obakeidoro can either be played online or offline with up to four players.

Obakeidoro is an asymmetric action game in which three Humans face off against one Monster. Gameplay can be as deep or casual as you want to make it.

As a Human, don’t just simply run away! Use your Lantern Attack to fend off the Monster. If you time it just right, you might be able to turn the tides in your favor. As the Monster, utilizating your powerful skills is key to your victory. Use skills like Glide and Track to capture the Humans.

While we don’t have a lot of details of Obakeidoro updated version, the director of the game, Katsunori Tanaka has stated that there are 3 points that need to be mentioned for this update:

  1. the number of players will be changed to 2 ghosts vs 6 humans.
  2. New stickers will be added as there will be a new multi-player.
  3. It will be billed but there will be an addition of downloadable characters.
