You can find this boss in the Warring States region, inside Iinoya at Sengan Waterfall, near a shrine marked with a gold chest symbol. This fight is not required to progress, and it is tied to a trophy along with two other secret demon bosses.
If you attempt this battle when it first appears, your character will likely be underleveled, which makes the fight much harder than it needs to be. The smarter approach is to ignore it until after completing the main story. Once you are around Level 130 or higher, the difficulty drops dramatically, almost to the point where the boss barely has time to fight back.
How to Defeat the Boss
To make the boss battle easy, use Dual Ninja Swords with a Ninja-style build. Focus heavily on Summoning Seals, especially the Ibaraki Doji summon. With the “Summoning Basics” skill unlocked, earned through the Onmyo Magic Veteran mission after speaking to the mage in the Eternal Rift and accessing it through the Shrine’s Battle Scrolls, your summons can be used twice as often. This alone makes a massive difference.
Put most of your stat points into Magic to increase summon power. When built this way, you can rapidly cast your strongest summons and melt the Demon of Pride in seconds. At higher levels, the boss becomes less of a challenge and more of a quick cleanup fight for your Platinum trophy collection.
