Next-Gen Truck Simulation Game Road Kings Revealed by Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive

Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have revealed their next-gen trucking simulator game, Road Kings. In Road Kings, you will drive a 40-ton semi-truck across the coastal plains of the American South and manage multiple jobs while dodging natural disasters and rivals in a bid to become the king of the road. Road Kings was officially revealed during the pre-show of gamescom 2025 ONL with a cinematic trailer that reveals very little about actual gameplay at this point.

Road Kings adopts the classic concept of any generic game of starting as a rookie and progressing to becoming a road king as you start with a basic truck, complete jobs, upgrade it, and eventually move on to better trucks. With Euro Truck Simulator and its sister titles, this genre has been pretty much owned for a long time by a single franchise, and even with the likes of Truck Driver by SOEDESCO, this genre has seen little shift in terms of a fan favourite.

In Road Kings, you will start from humble beginnings and rise to the status of a seasoned owner-operator, as you carve your reputation, navigate through competition, forge valuable partnerships, and come across unpredictable natural hazards like a tornado shown in its release trailer. While it does not show how much these extreme weather conditions will affect your gameplay, it seems to be a stand-out point for the game as of now because no other truck simulation game features extreme weather hazards.

You will need to manage routes, cargo, and client demands in a world where the journey will shape your career. You will cover these long distances in faithfully recreated branded trucks, and explore biomes filled with rich detail, iconic landmarks, and unpredictable challenges. The world will react to different aspects as you explore it.
