Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Spawn As a New DLC Character, Coming Next Week

Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn

NetherRealm has just released a trailer that reveals the new DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11 called Spawn. This new character is set to be added to the game next week for Early Access on March 17. The trailer features Spawn in action and gives us a little detail about his fighting style and moves.

A trailer of a new character is no trailer if it doesn’t feature the Fatality move. Spawn is no exception as we can see his Fatality move which he performs on Scorpion and skins him alive, leaving nothing but bones and intestines. Yeah, it looks just as brutal as it sounds. Check out the trailer below:

The trailer also finishes off with other content information which the game will be adding soon. The game will bring new skins for Jacqui Briggs, Nightwolf, and Erron Black. One of the skins for Briggs will be inspired by Spawn himself as you can see her in Spawns’ colors.

NetherRealm is slowly but surely adding in more interesting DLC characters into the game, where the total has now reached 6. Recently, we got to see The Joker making its way into the roster, joining other characters like Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, Shang Tsung, and Sindel.

On the other hand, NetherRealms has canceled the Last Chance Qualifier events that were being held for the Final Kombat competition this year. The studio cited health concerns over the worldwide coronavirus epidemic.

Due to the escalating concerns and cautions around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have made the difficult decision to no longer host a live audience at Final Kombat 2020, scheduled for this Sunday, March 8, at Chicago’s Park West Theater

In addition, we have cancelled the Last Chance Qualifier event scheduled to be held tomorrow, March 8, at Ignite Gaming Lounge in Skokie, Ill. We understand this is disappointing to those who planned to attend. This decision was made in order to protect the health and safety of our players, fans and staff.
