Calderon’s fight in MIO: Memories in Orbit increases the intensity by filling your screen with constant attacks that test your focus more than your damage. This battle is not about rushing the boss down or showing off fast reactions, and is similar to the earliest ones. Instead, it asks you to stay calm, watch carefully, and survive each attack cycle without panicking. This MIO: Memories in Orbit Calderon Boss Guide details all the tips and tricks you need to defeat Calderon.
Calderon Boss Battle Guide – MIO: Memories in Orbit
Our journey to defeat Calderon in MIO begins with finding him. To do that, we start our journey from the City Gates spawn point and move to the right past the nearby door. After reaching there, climb upward using the Hairpin and flowers. Once you reach the rooftops, move left and cross the first bridge. Go through the room after it, cross another bridge, and then drop down into a broken area and continue heading left until you find a room with a hole in the floor. Drop through it to enter the boss arena.
Calderon is a large boss whose attacks revolve around his massive hands. These hands glow red before striking, giving you a visual signal to prepare. The fight focuses heavily on reading attack patterns and knowing when to disengage. Attacking too aggressively or ignoring threats will quickly lead to mistakes. Your dodge ability plays a major role here.
Calderon’s Attacks and How to Handle Them
Throughout the first phase, Calderon will slam his hands down in different sequences, each aiming for where you are standing. You can avoid these by calmly walking left or right while continuing to attack his head, or by using your dodge at the right moment if needed.
In other moments, it uses pairs of hands that strike together on the ground, first from the middle and then from the outer sides. When this happens, dodge the area of impact and wait until the sequence fully ends before committing to more attacks.
There are also attacks where the lower hands combine into a single heavy punch aimed straight down. You can do two things here: Dodging or jumping upward over the hands. The second option is safer.
In one of its attacks, all of Calderon’s hands will come together for one powerful slam. This is best avoided by using your dodge ability and then returning to attacking once the danger passes.
Alongside these attacks, icicles will fall from above in different patterns. These are not difficult to avoid on their own, but they can easily catch you if you focus too much on attacking. Always keep some attention on the icicles above you to prevent damage.
In the second phase, there will be air currents that push you upward, slightly changing how movement feels. You will see no change in Calderon’s attack patterns. So you should focus on the same dodge and positioning tactics. The one difference is that the falling icicles now rise more, and your movement feels a bit slower.
Final Tips to Defeat Calderon
Calderon’s attacks track your position, which means panicked dodges can sometimes make things worse. Walking away from danger often works better than reacting too quickly.
To win the fight, focus more on awareness than rushing attacks. Take your time, attack only when it is safe, watch your dodge cooldown, and keep your eyes on Calderon’s hand movements. Staying patient and focused will help you finish the battle safely.
