Because of this reason, we have curated this Hood: Outlaws & Legends Beginner’s Guide in which we have some tips and tricks for you that will certainly help new players getting the grips of the game and making sure that they win.

Beginner’s Guide – Hood: Outlaws & Legends

Our Hood: Outlaws & Legends Beginner’s Guide details everything you need to know about playing the game for the first time.

Stealth is Far More Accessible for New Players

If you are a new player, your goal should be to remain as stealthy as possible in the game because head-on fights can easily become overwhelming for new players. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a tough game and in combat, the game really tests your skill so until you get acquainted with the combat system of the game, you should try to kill as many enemies silently as possible.

Getting spotted also means additional challenges to overcome such as fighting additional enemies that arrive as reinforcements, opening the gates, and getting rid of the lockdown. If you engage in fights, the enemy team also gets to know your location and they can use it to their own advantage to steal the key. For this very purpose, you must try to kill as many enemies as possible in stealth and try to avoid confrontation unless it is really necessary.

Stealth also comes into play when you have to steal the key from the Sheriff. Your very first goal in the game is to steal the key from the Sheriff and he is one tough cookie. The best strategy is to remain in stealth until you can steal the key from the Sheriff because if you go head-on with the Sheriff, it can kill you with one powerful hit. This makes stealth an important element to keep in your mind while fighting trying to steal the key from him.

Always Play as a Team

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a team-based game, so it is important that you play the game as a team player as well. You cannot survive in the game on your own for a long time especially during combat scenarios and if you are not a good team player, your team will not be a good player with you as well. Each class in the game has its own strengths and weaknesses and other classes easily complement their weaknesses.

For this very purpose, it is very important that you are always playing as a team and helping out fellow members of your team as well. The map is filled with important points of interest such as ammo boxes, doors, ladders, and other useful stuff that many of the players will be able to use in your team. Always make sure that you are tagging enemies and useful items that you find for your team and making good strategies with your team for executing successful attacks.

Teamwork also comes in handy when you are using the winch. The winch is best operated with two players so if two players are free, always coordinate with the team and send two players to speed up the Winch. The remaining two players can defend them, two players, at the winch at this point. The stronger classes Tooke and John can easily speed up the Winch so try sending them for this job and the rest of the two players can defend them while they are winching.

Keep a Balance Between Your Weapons, Gears, and Abilities

In Hood: Outlaws & Legends, you get a full set of stuff to play around with. Apart from your weapon, you also have Gear and Abilities to use in the game. Each character comes with their own abilities that can give you a temporary boost in the game. Gear is simply a throwable weapon that every character can use in the game. Make sure that you switch to them for a change of pace and sometimes you can even use them for various other advantages in fights as well.

The explosives can be used as a good way to distract your enemies. If you want to distract some enemies, chuck in an explosive at a key point and the enemies will move in to investigate clearing up paths for you. However, you must know that enemies will remain alerted after these explosions or Gear items. Each class has its own unique abilities, and these are temporary as well. You must time them right to make them most effective in the game.

Play Around with the Perks

As you play with each class and level up, you will continue to unlock more and more powerful perks. These perks are extremely useful in the game because they will grant you powerful passive bonuses that will give you a necessary boost in the game. There is not much character customization in the game, so your best bet is to tinker around with perks to have the build that suits your gameplay style.

Parry and Dodge Can Potentially Save Your Life

While fighting enemies, two of the most helpful techniques to use for survival are parry and dodge. You can use both of them to avoid enemy attacks and ensure that you stay in combat for longer. Depending on your class, you can either parry or dodge. This is a little weird, but you can only dodge with Robin and Marianne and parry with John and Tooke.

Dodging works normally however if you parry attacks with John and Tooke, they will knock down the enemies to the ground giving you a chance to strike back. You can parry both ranged and melee attacks making them helpful to avoid incoming attacks. With Robin and Marianne, you can dodge incoming attacks making them perfect for players who prefer hit-and-run combat. They cannot parry incoming attacks so make sure that you are out of harm’s way.
