How to Increase Health in Ghost of Yotei?
There are no traditional skill trees or upgrades like other action games that you may have played previously. There is only one way in Ghost of Yotei that allows you to increase your health permanently, and it is by visiting the Hot Springs. There is a total of 16 Hot Springs in the entire game.
When you sit in the hot spring, you have to interact with a bucket present there in order to start bathing. You have to sit for at least one minute to increase health. When you bathe in these Hot Springs, it will increase your health by a small amount. Some Hot Springs are accessible from the beginning in regions like Yotei Grasslands, Tokachi Range, and Nayoro Wilds. Others will unlock later as you progress through the story.
Other Methods: Armor, Buffs, Charms, and Skills
As we detailed above, Hot Springs are the only way that increase our health permanently. But some other methods will give you extra protection against incoming damage. These include:
- Wearing Armor will protect you so that you will not lose health easily against enemies.
- Charms will give you a passive advantage, also. You can get it from Shrine Climbs and by doing activities and tasks.
- Cooking meals will also help you with passive buffs.
- Completing Bamboo Strikes increases your Spirit, which powers special attacks. Though it doesn’t primarily increase your health, but if you have special attacks, it will inflict more damage to the enemy, so it passively helps you to maintain your health.
- Praying at Altars of Reflection unlocks new skills, which improve your combat efficiency and ability.
