According to reports, Ghost of Tsushima sequel has been confirmed by the LinkedIn profile of the cinematic creative director, Dave Molloy at Sucker Punch Productions. The about page on the LinkedIn profile of Molloy mentions that he is working on the Ghost of Tsushima game for the PlayStation 5.
This comes after Sucker Punch Productions had previously listed a job for a narrative writer back in October. The job listing stated the “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan” hinting it to be another Ghost of Tsushima game or a sequel.
It should come as no surprise if the studio is working on a sequel already, especially considering that the game has been an instant hit after its release last year. Although it might sound a bit quick, as the game has been out for a little over six months now, the development could take a couple of years for the final product on the PlayStation 5.
In war-torn Tsushima, ancient beauty endures
Venture beyond the battlefield to experience feudal Japan like never before. In this open-world action adventure, you’ll roam vast countrysides and expansive terrain to encounter rich characters, discover ancient landmarks, and uncover the hidden beauty of Tsushima.
In his quest to reclaim Tsushima, Jin must seek the guidance and support of old friends and new unlikely allies. He must break away from tradition, become a new kind of warrior, and protect what’s left of his home at all costs.
Ghost of Tsushima became the PlayStation 4’s fastest-selling game last year when it released in July. The game sold over 5 million copies ever since its launch.
