This guide will show you how you can get the Falling Guillotine sword in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals. The new season comes with a handful of weapons and gear that you can earn. This includes the legendary Falling Guillotine sword as well.
The Falling Guillotine is a special sword as it has the Vortex Frame spin attack, much similar to the Dark Drinker sword in the first Destiny game. The heavy spin attack will partially bypass elemental shields. The second attack is the Whirlwind Blade which is a series of rapid slices with the sword that increases the weapon’s damage with each swing. This only works for a short period and the effect is eliminated when guarding.
The Falling Guillotine also comes with Curated Roll which contains Heavy Blade, Energy Transfer, Enduring Blade, and Whirlwind Blade.
How to Get the Falling Guillotine in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals
The only way you can get this legendary Falling Guillotine sword is by playing and grinding your way through the ranks of the Season Pass. You need to do this right up until you reach Rank 30 on the Season Pass. This is because the Falling Guillotine is a free reward item that gets unlocked when you reach this Rank.
Once you have reach Rank 30, the Falling Guillotine can then be obtained from Umbral Engram loot. You can increase your chances of finding one in either the Pyramid-Focused Umbral Engram, or the Arrival-Focused Umbral Engram. The Season of Arrivals also brings the Prismatic Recaster, allowing you to focus your Umbral Engrams, making it easy to find the Falling Guillotine.
This is basically the only way you can get the legendary sword in the new Season of Arrivals. Although it is just a newer version of the Dark Drinker, there is no denying how cool it looks and is quite powerful.
