HandyGames has announced that their title El Hijo – A Wild West Tale is coming to consoles including Nintendo Switch. The console release includes PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch but sadly there is no word for a next-gen release for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at this point. The game will be playable on the next-gen consoles with the backward compatibility option but it will not utilize the next-gen hardware to its full potential at this point.

El Hijo – A Wild West Tale was released on PC via Steam and GOG and Google Stadia last year in December however the game is coming to consoles as well. The game follows the journey of an adventurous child who is looking for his mother armed with a powerful slingshot and many other powerful toys. Armed with simple toys, you must take on powerful enemies riding horses and equipped with guns. However, since you are just a child, stealth is your best friend here.

Your main goal is to find your mom in the game and escape with her successfully from her captives. You will explore dark monastery corners, parched deserts, and lawless boomtowns which are crawling with suspicious monks, dangerous bandits, and mischievous desperados. Following a sad tale, your mom leaves you at a monastery for safety but you leave the monastery and go back to your mother.

El Hijo – A Wild West Tale is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on March 25, 2021. There is no word yet on a next-gen release of the title however you will be able to play on a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with backward compatibly just fine.
