Bethesda Softworks has announced to bring Doom 3 VR Edition to the PlayStation VR on the PlayStation 4 console this month on March 29, 2021. The game will also be backward compatible on the PlayStation 5 console.
Doom 3 VR Edition will contain the base game and its expansions, Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Mission, reworked especially for PS VR technology. Players will get to uncover the secrets of the UAC’s unholy experiments, encounter monsters in claustrophobic environments, all while wielding an arsenal of iconic weaponry. All this comes with new textures, shaders and sound effects as you try to survive against the forces of Hell across over 15 hours of action.
Check out the trailer below:
Take your Aim controller in hand, put on your PS VR headset, and step into the armored boots of The Doom Marine. Fight for your life as one of the few survivors left in a UAC facility overrun by demons. As one of only a few survivors, you must fight your way to hell and back against a horde of evil monsters.
With the new VR enhancements, you will feel even closer to the terror as the technology allows you to peer around corners, angle your shots with flashlight mounted weapons and motion controls. Catch any sneaky demons with the 180-degree quick-turn functionality and an immersive wrist-mounted display to track your health, armor, and ammo. Virtual Reality fans will get to play the critically acclaimed title with its blend of action and horror gameplay on their VR headsets.
