Digimon Story: Time Stranger Personalities Guide – All Personalities, What They Do

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Personalities Guide

In Digimon Story: Time Stranger, Digimons are the core part of our game. Each Digimon you have and evolve has a Personality trait. This personality trait is the primary thing to keep an eye on. Personalities are really important for Digimons because they shape their growth, power, skills, passive skills, and their Digivolution. These are very helpful in a combat situation. Our Digimon Story: Time Stranger Personalities Guide details everything that you need to know about personalities in the game.

These Personalities are a little bit difficult to track because they are constantly changing. The players also have difficulty deciding which personality trait to choose. In this guide, we will discuss how these Personalities work, how to change them, and which skills are available to make your Digimon in the game the strongest.

Personalities Guide – Digimon Story: Time Stranger

When you start playing Digimon Story: Time Stranger, you have a Base Personality already. This base personality can be changed through different techniques, which include Evolution and Interaction with our Digimons. This Basic Personality can be one of four types, which are Amicability, Philanthropy, Valor, and Wisdom. These four are further subdivided into four sub-traits, which we will discuss below.

Base Personality Traits Sub Variant Direct Effect Passive Effect

Amicabilty

Compassionate This will give a boost to HP (health) and DEF (defence). When you have this trait, there is a 30% chance that the items will not be used.
Friendly It will boost our DEF (defence) and ATK. When you train in Digifarm, this training will help us to gain a 10% extra chance of changing Personality skills.
Opportunistic DEF and SPI will be directly affected by this. When your Digimon is in the reserve party or box, it will recover 15% of its health or 10% SP.
Sociable It will increase DEF and SP. It will give us a very good advantage by doubling all the passive buffs.

Philanthropy

Adoring It will pump the SPI and DEF system. It also gives a pump to HP equipment.
Devoted SPI and INT. Items can be recovered means the items that are torn off can be restored by 10%.
Overprotective SPI and HP can be increased. Skills’ power can be increased by a good value of 10%.
Tolerant SPI and SP. Grants a boost to SP equipment

Valor

Brave Attack and SP are plus in here. 3% of the opponent’s DEF is ignored.
Daring DEF and ATK are increased. Protect yourself by reducing the damage you take by 10%.
Reckless ATK and HP are boosted. ATK things and equipment are increased.
Zealous ATK and SPD. While you are guarding, you can regain 3% of health.

Wisdom

Astute Will give an increase in INT and SPD. The SPI (Magic Defense) effect is decreased by 3% based on Agent Rank
Enlightened INT and SP. Items dropped by enemy Digimon are increased by 10%.
Sly INT and HP are increased in it. You get more item drops by enemy Digimon if you land the last hit
Strategic INT and SPI. Magic Damage is reduced by 1% only.

Shaping your Digimon Personality:

When you send your Digimon to the Digifarm for training, it can change their personality. Like we can convert into a Reckless personality by sending our Zealous Wargreymon in SP for Digifarm training.

There is a Stat Growth in our Digimon profile. This Stat will show your inclination towards a personality. As we discussed earlier, with a little interaction, you can shape your Digimon personality. So, you have to be very cautious about all the conversations you have with your Digimon because any off-track interaction can put your Digimon in a personality that you don’t want.

During the Recovery Mode, you sometimes have a chance for a dialogue with your Digimon, which is stated as Personality Change dialogue. So, at that point, you can also change your personality through interactions.

You can also message and interact with your Digimons in your Reserve Party and the Box to carve their personality.

All Personality Skills

When our Digimon’s personality changes into one of the four main Personality Traits or a subvariant, they can acquire passive skills known as Personality Skills. When you are interacting with Digimon and it gains a new Personality Skill, the game asks you to choose whether you want to replace the previous one.

Below, we will discuss all the Personality Skills available:
