Destruction AllStars Beginner’s Guide

Below we have listed some tips to get you up to speed in the new game.

Complete the Tutorial

The Tutorial mode which begins when you first start the game is the best way to understand the bare basics of the gameplay. From entering a vehicle to driving and dodging opponents.

Before you even try to get into the action, it is best to first get familiar with buttons and the tricks the game has to offer. Tricks like the Takeover are great at manipulating an opponent and their vehicle to crash out and wreck or to throw them out to take over their car.

Get Familiar with the Arena

The arena in each match has a lot of things that will offer you whether you are on foot or in a vehicle. Instead of jumping on the main area where cars are zipping past looking to knock you out, use platforms to avoid being taken out.

Players on foot without a car are bigger targets as opponents will be looking for the easiest way to take them out. In addition, platforms allow you to sneak attack unaware opponents by leaping on their car and taking over.

Use Character and Vehicle Abilities

Breakers are your player and vehicle abilities that significantly mix up the gameplay of Destruction AllStars. Each of the different characters in the game come with their own unique Breaker or ability that you can use against enemies.

Some abilities are focused on defense like fortifying your vehicle with a large shield or being immune to knockouts, or making you invisible. But you also have attacking Breakers that allow give you flamethrowers fixed in the front of your cars, or sawblades that can slice the opponent’s car.

Experiment with each character and find out which ability best suits your gameplay or has the upper hand in the arena.

Time your Dodge

Dodging is far better in avoiding incoming attacks rather than jumping to get out of danger. This feature is built into the game to allow you a more seamless way to avoid attacking opponents that might be looking to crush you beneath their car.

In addition, dodging also offers a rewarding mechanic that allows you to jump on the opponent’s car and take over. However, this needs to be done at the perfect moment to dodge the attack successfully and follow it up by climbing on top of their car.

Complete Challenge Series

Destruction AllStars also offers the Challenge Series which is a great way to learn about each character and their backstory. The challenge allows you to play with a chosen character while challenging their rival in the mode.

Every event in the Challenge Series offers you several challenges to complete, unlocking additional rewards.
