Publisher Feardemic has announced to launch Darq: Complete Edition on the next-gen consoles and Nintendo Switch, next week on March 18. Players who own the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to update to their next-gen editions for free.

Feademic has also stated that the retail editions for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch will be released in the second quarter of this year. The complete edition of the game includes the recently released The Crypt DLC, which brings in more puzzles to add in to the unique gameplay experience. Lloyd’s adventure continues. This time he explores a mysterious crypt full of dark surprises.

So what is the story DARQ? It is about a young boy who is trapped in a lucid dream that quickly takes a turn to the dark by turning into a nightmare that he is trapped within. According to the official game description, Lloyd will have to explore the darkest corners of his subconscious and survive the nightmare by bending the law of physics and manipulating the fluid fabric of the dream world.

Lloyd will have to solve puzzles and use caution when enemies are nearby. Stealth is of vital importance in the game Lloyd has to avoid and progress in the story. There is no chance of confronting the enemy and fighting them head-on as they are way more powerful and faster for a young boy.

The Complete Edition includes:

  • DARQ – Original Game
  • The Tower DLC – Lloyd wakes up in his dreams again only to find himself in a Tower filled with many new mysteries, puzzles, and creepy creatures
  • The Crypt DLC – Another loop of nightmares continues, introducing new mechanics and puzzles in a crypt filled with dark surprises
