CORSAIR Announces the Launch of Brand-New Vanguard Gaming Keyboard Series, Offers Hall Effect and Mechanical Options

CORSAIR Vanguard

CORSAIR has announced the launch of its brand-new Vanguard series of gaming keyboards that come in two different versions. The Vanguard Pro 96 is a Hall Effect Gaming Keyboard, while the Vanguard 96 is a simple Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Both keyboards are based on the previously released K70 keyboard series; however, they come packed with features and new elements. The new keyboards are aimed at gamers, content creators, and PC enthusiasts in general. With the new Vanguard series, CORSAIR is opting for a brand-new naming scheme that allows for better distinction between product lines.

Check out the Launch Trailer for the CORSAIR VANGUARD series of Keyboards:

Both Vanguard series keyboards ship with a built-in Elgato Virtual Stream Deck, a vibrant LCD screen, four layers of sound dampening, FlashTap SOCD technology, 8,000Hz hyper-polling, six programmable, Stream Deck-enabled G-keys, a rotary dial, and hot swap compatibility. You can customize them both through the CORSAIR Web Hub as well. Size-wise, both keyboards are 96% keyboards, and they offer an optimized spacing to give users the functionality of a full-sized keyboard in a footprint that rivals a tenkeyless keyboard. Both keyboards also feature smooth-actuating, pre-lubed CORSAIR MLX or MGX switches.

With the native Elgato Stream Deck and Virtual Stream Deck integration, you can directly map Stream Deck actions to the G-Keys within the Stream Deck app. If you want, you can also use Virtual Stream Decks profiles for every game in rotation. Apart from this, the Virtual Stream Deck also allows you to tap one button to open and close an on-screen Stream Deck overlay for greater efficiency, whether you are gaming or editing your next video.

Tobias Brinkmann, Vice President and General Manager of Gaming Peripherals, commented:

We at CORSAIR pride ourselves on the legacy of innovation that we have built in the gaming space, especially when it comes to keyboards. The new VANGUARD series will carry the torch forward that the K70 ignited. Our fans told us what they wanted, and we listened, incorporating their feedback with our proven engineering to deliver features like Elgato Virtual Stream Deck integration, a built-in LCD screen, G-keys, 8,000Hz hyper-polling, and a web-based utility to customize and tune everything.

Now coming to the major differences between the two variants, the Vanguard Pro 96 features CORSAIR’s MGX Hyperdrive Hall Effect Magnetic switches that deliver maximum responsiveness, reliability, and speed. This keyboard also features 8,000Hz hyper-polling, CORSAIR Rapid Trigger technology, adjustable actuation point switches, and dual actuation point capability. In comparison, the Vanguard 96 is a simple mechanical keyboard.

Both models feature an integrated 320 x 170” full color LCD screen. You can use the screen to display a variety of things, ranging from animations, images, or stats that you want to see at a glance. With a 96% size, you still get everything, such as a tenkeypad, arrow keys, F-keys, along with an LCD and rotary dial. With the CORSAIR Web Hub compatibility, you can set RG effects, remap keys, record macros, and more via the internet for Vanguard 96 and other supported accessories.

Both variants of the Vanguard series, Vanguard Pro 96 and Vanguard 96, are now available for purchase through CORSAIR’s own webstore and its worldwide network of physical and online retailers. For additional details, you can check out the official website.
