Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies Special and Elite Zombies Guide – How to Find and Kill

Black Ops 7 Zombies Special and Elite Zombies Guide

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Zombies mode, you will come across tons of different types of zombies, out of which some will be small, and some will be large. If you enjoy grinding weapon camos or finishing challenges, the Special and Elite Zombies are the ones you will want to pay attention to, as you will face many of them, and many unlocks depend on defeating them. In this Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies Special and Elite Zombies Guide, we will see where to find Special and Elite enemy zombies and how to finish them off.

Elite and Special Zombies Guide – Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

The first section details all the Elite Zombie types in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies.

Zursa

Found in: Ashes of the Damned, including POI areas in Survival.

Zursa is usually the first Elite enemy players run into. He naturally appears after round 16 on Ashes of the Damned, and you will also meet him in the boss fight. You can even spawn it early during the Skulls step of the main Easter Egg at Zarya Cosmodrome.

Weakness: Napalm Burst

To beat Zursa faster:

  • Aim at his glowing weak spots and keep shooting those same areas after they break to deal serious damage.
  • Stay far away to avoid his chain swipe attacks.
  • When he releases a group of flying Zombies, destroy them quickly.
  • The Psych Grenade briefly turns Zursa friendly and then deals a chunk of damage when the effect ends.

Uber Klaus

Found in: Ashes of the Damned in the Necrofluid Gauntlet quest.

Uber Klaus only appears once during the main story quest when you are doing the Necrofluid Gauntlet quest. He can show up after round 8, once you open the Ashwood Sheriff’s Office, then head back to Janus Towers Plaza and move toward the west side, where you will face him.

Weakness: Napalm Burst & Cryo Freeze

To beat Uber Klaus:

  • Shoot the glowing spots on his shoulders first to break his shield.
  • After the shield is gone, fire at the exposed core.
  • Keep your distance because it uses both close-range and long-range melee strikes.
  • When he fires a three-shot explosive barrage, keep moving to avoid getting hit.
  • He can rocket-jump toward your last position, so stay active and move continuously during the fight.

Special Zombie Types

This section details all the Special Zombie types in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies.

Uber Klaus Core

Found in: Ashes of the Damned in the Necrofluid Gauntlet quest.

After you beat Uber Klaus, the core ejects from the mech suit, and this smaller form counts as a Special enemy. It has the same weaknesses as the main version, but is much easier to handle.

Weakness: Napalm Burst & Cryo Freeze

To beat it:

  • Shoot directly at the torso to destroy it fast.
  • Keep moving to avoid its explosive projectile attacks.

Doppelghast

Found in: Cursed Mode (Relic Trials) & Vandorn Farm Survival
Doppelghasts only spawn in Cursed Mode Relic Trials, but they can also appear on Vandorn Farm Survival, and in Cursed Mode once you reach around round 40.

Weakness: Light Mend.

To beat them:

  • Their weak spots are both of their heads, so aim there for maximum damage.
  • Keep moving, because Doppelghasts chase players.
  • They can hit you with melee attacks or use a ranged attack that slows you down.
  • After you kill them, they explode and apply the slowing effect one last time, so avoid standing too close.

Shock Mimic

Found in: Cursed Mode (Relic Trials, Lawyer’s Pen Relic)

The Shock Mimic returns from Black Ops 6 but now appears only in Cursed Mode. You can encounter it during Relic Trials, especially the Lawyer’s Pen Relic trial, or when playing with the Lawyer’s Pen Relic activated.

Weakness: Brain Rot

To take it down:

  • Shoot directly into its glowing mouth, which is its critical weak spot.
  • Stay at a distance because it has a pull-in attack that drags you close, hits you, and throws you backward for heavy damage.
