In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, the LGM-1 is the Wonder Weapon you can earn for free on the Astra Malorum map. Just like other map-specific Wonder Weapons, you must complete a short quest to unlock it. If you want to get this alien-themed gun or just want to see how it works, this guide is for you. In this Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies LGM-1 Wonder Weapon Guide, we will show you what you need to do to collect this weapon easily.
How to Get LGM-1 Wonder Weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
To get the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, you need to do two different tasks, which are detailed below:
Step 1: Get the 4 Contraption Parts
To start the quest, make sure the power is turned on and Pack-a-Punch is active. After that, you need to collect four Contraption Parts. You can grab them in any order.
Part 1 – Damaged Drone
Once the power is on, O.S.C.A.R. will appear somewhere on the map. Open your Tac Map to see where he is. Find him and destroy one of the Drones that fly around him. These Drones are weak to Brain Rot, although at low rounds, any weapon will work fine.
When the Drone dies, it drops the Damaged Drone part. Pick it up, then quickly move away from O.S.C.A.R. to avoid the fight and continue the quest.
Part 2 – Absolute Zero Fragments
You need 500 Salvage for this step. Go to The Arsenal and buy the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod. With Cryo Freeze equipped, shoot the Dark Aether crystals found around the map. Every time you hit a crystal while using Cryo Freeze, it drops an Absolute Zero Fragment. You must collect three of these fragments before moving on.
Part 3 – Car Battery
Save 5,000 Essence and Pack-a-Punch your weapon. Then return to the Crash Site, which is the starting zone. Look for Ol’ Tessie. Inside it, you will see a gear shift with a Mister Peeks head on top. Shoot this gear shift, and the Car Battery will pop out of the hood for you to pick up.
Part 4 – Aberrant Wiring
Head to the Stargazer’s Courtyard. This spot has several lampposts. One lamppost will have a flickering light. Shoot that one, and it will drop the Aberrant Wiring part. If none of the lights in this area are flickering, walk around the map and look for another lamppost that does flicker.
Step 2: Kill O.S.C.A.R. With 3 Different Traps
Once you have all four parts, your next goal is to kill O.S.C.A.R. using three specific traps across the map. Each trap uses the parts you collected. Here’s how to complete each section.
Trap 1 – Electro-Volt Projector
This trap is located in The Luminarium, the same place where Jugger-Nog is.
- Find the big trap and interact with the switch labeled “ready”. This places the Damaged Drone into the trap.
- Lure O.S.C.A.R. into the room.
- Use the switch again to start a timed event where you must stay inside the room while the trap overloads the O.S.C.A.R. battery.
- Shoot the Drones he spawns so he stays vulnerable during this step.
Once the trap kills him, wait for O.S.C.A.R. to respawn for the next trap.
Trap 2 – Thurston’s Rocket Ignition
When O.S.C.A.R. comes back, head to Museum Infinitum, where Speed Cola is located.
- In the western part of the room, find the rocket.
- Bring O.S.C.A.R. inside and interact with the rocket while on the south side of it.
- This starts a 5-second countdown before the rocket launches.
- Move O.S.C.A.R. behind the rocket’s thrusters so the ignition blast kills him.
If you miss the timing and the rocket doesn’t kill him, you must use Cryo Freeze again to collect three more Absolute Zero Fragments, then retry the rocket trap. For this step, you don’t need to worry about destroying his Drones.
Trap 3 – Observatory Laser
The last trap is inside the Observatory Dome, which is also where Pack-a-Punch is.
- Look around the room for a pipe valve blowing out steam. This valve could be anywhere, on the walls, high up, or near the floor.
- Shoot the valve that is producing steam.
- Repeat this a total of five times.
- When finished, the room’s giant dial will tilt downward.
Now lure O.S.C.A.R. into the Observatory Dome.
- Once he is inside, go to the church organ across from Pack-a-Punch and interact with it.
- You will access a telescope. Move the telescope lens until it lines up with the Sun. In most games, this means tilting it slightly upward and to the left.
- When the lens is aligned correctly, a powerful laser will fire down into the room.
- Guide O.S.C.A.R. into the laser to kill him.
After O.S.C.A.R. dies from this trap, he will drop the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, and you can finally pick it up. You can also upgrade it later with Pack-a-Punch.
How the LGM-1 Works
The LGM-1 shoots tiny UFO projectiles. Each UFO locks onto one enemy, attacks it, and then flies back to you as ammo once the target is dead. The weapon has three charges, and these always regenerate on their own, so you never need to worry about running out of ammo. It shoots quickly and has unlimited ammo, but its damage is fairly slow.
You can upgrade the LGM-1 into the Martian Man O’War. This version fires UFOs in a wider pattern, almost like a shotgun spread. It deals more damage and has eight charges, but it isn’t amazing at wiping out huge groups of zombies at once. The LGM-1 works best as a secondary weapon.
The LGM-1 can distract O.S.C.A.R. and do a moderate amount of damage to him. It feels like the weapon was made with O.S.C.A.R. in mind. However, its overall damage is not very impressive, especially when compared to weapons like the Necrofluid Gauntlet, the Ray Gun, or the Ray Gun Mark II.
