What are SHiFT Codes?
SHiFT Codes are special codes that can be redeemed once in exchange for Golden Keys in the game. These Golden Keys are required for opening special chests in Borderlands 4, which then grant you a random set of items that could range from Legendary Weapons, Gear, and cosmetics. The items that you will receive each time are unique, so there is no guaranteed way of saying what the chest will give you with a key.
Once a SHiFT Code is redeemed, it will only grant you a specified number of keys once. It cannot be redeemed again, and it cannot grant you additional keys. Each SHiFT Code comes with a different number of keys attached to it. Some grant 1 key; some grant 10 keys, while some even grant 100 keys. How to Redeem SHiFT Codes?
To redeem these SHiFT Codes, you must create an account on the official SHiFT website. After creating your free account, you can head over to the account settings and link your platforms. If you have multiple platforms, make sure to connect all of them, or else you will not receive the Golden Keys there. Make sure you link all of your accounts PRIOR TO REDEEMING THE SHiFT KEYS.
Method 1: Once your accounts are linked, simply head over to the Rewards section, and here you can redeem the SHiFT Codes. Unique Borderlands 4 Discord Quest SHiFT Code (September 2025)
This one-time activity will grant you a unique SHiFT Code until September 25, 2025. This SHiFT Code will net you 1 Golden Key to use in Borderlands 4. To obtain this key, follow the method detailed below:
- Log in to Discord and click on Discover>Quests. Inside it, look for Borderlands 4 Looter Quest and accept it.
- Next, click on Choose a platform to get started and choose from one of the two options: Quest on Desktop or Quest on Console. You must select the platform on which you are playing Borderlands 4
- PC Players will have no issues because Discord can automatically detect you playing Borderlands 4. If you are playing on a console, you must connect your console to the dashboard. Click on either the PS or Xbox sign, depending on your platform, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your console here.
- If you are playing on PC, you can skip the previous step and launch the game directly.
- Once it is done, launch your game on PC or console and play it for 15 minutes. The challenge only requires 15 minutes of gametime. You do not need to be actively playing it. You can launch the game and leave it on the screen, and it will still complete the challenge.
- Once you have played it for 15 minutes, quit and click on Claim Reward under the Borderlands 4 Looter Quest in Discord>Discover>Quests tab. This will grant you a unique SHiFT Code that you can now redeem in-game or at the SHiFT website to claim one Golden Key.
