Might and Delight has announced the Book of Travels release date and the game will release in Early Access on August 9, 2021. Termed as a Tiny Multiplayer Online RPG or TMORPG, Book of Travels has been in development for four years and the studio terms it as its most ambitious project as of yet. The game will first release in Early Access and will undergo further development alongside fan feedback.
Set on the mysterious world of Braided Shore, in Book of Travels, you will learn that kindness is as valuable as skill with a sword. Might and Delight has an experience of 11 years in the development of many artistic and emotional games including Shelter, Meadow, and Pid. Culminating all of the experience into a single title, Book of Travels is both an evolution of lessons learned in those games and an evolution of Might and Delight’s desire to create visually distinct experiences.
Book of Travels started its journey as a Kickstarter title where over 7,000 backers contributed over $300,000 for the development of the title. It is the most successful Swedish Kickstarter campaign for a computer game ever and Might and Delight is really proud of it. The game was also featured in IGN’s Summer of Gaming 2021 where a new trailer was revealed for the game. Check it out below:
In Book of Travels, immersion is a central element and also a key part of its detailed character design. Players in the game can craft unique characters whose personalities will shape their in-game story and the foundation of their roleplaying adventure in the game. Depending on your chosen character, they could be messy, passionate, caring, and more. They could also combine multiple factors into one such as they could be fussy eaters. You will then enter the world of Braided Shore as a new character and shape your own destiny.
For additional details, you can check out our previous feature on Book of Travels or add the game to your wishlist over at Steam as well. Book of Travels will release in Early Access on August 9, 2021.
