Poland-based development studio Blinkclick Games has announced its brand-new puzzle platforming title My Father My Son. The game allows you to play as two characters simultaneously which are a father and his son. The game allows you to play as each character independently in solo however you can also play the game in co-op where each player controls one character and you both help out each other in the game.
My Father My Son allows both same-screen co-op as well as online co-op and supports controllers as well. For playing on the same screen, one player will use the keyboard while the second can jump in the game on the same system using a controller. The game features successive environmental puzzles which must be solved by both characters in the game. It is a game of cooperation and both characters depend on each other in order to progress in the game. Both characters come with their unique features which are required for solving puzzles.
The father is stronger and taller so he can break down doors, push heavy obstacles and lift up his son allowing him to reach narrow gaps and higher places. On the other hand, the son is smaller and nimbler than the father and can easily use narrow paths and can climb hard-to-reach areas easily in order to open up paths for his father. Both characters move left and right in two parallel paths that you can change at any time in the game. The path features many interwoven arcade challenges such as running from massive rolling boulders and more.

The game is played in 2.5D and features a low-poly visual art style. The game also features a deep and engaging story as you go through the story of the father and son as they try to bond with each other. They have problems understanding each other and since the death of the boy’s mother, they both have become distinct from each other and each one is closed within themselves. The cruise they went on was designed to help them bond with each other but they ended up crashing and shipwrecked on an island. As they explore the island, they are persecuted by a dark and hostile character. Their goal is to escape from the island alive.

The developer has not revealed a confirmed release date at this point however My Father My Son is planned for a PC release in 2021. After its initial PC release, the game will also arrive on both next-gen and previous-gen titles including Nintendo Switch.
