Battlefield 6 uses a different weapon and gadget unlock system than its predecessors. Instead of just leveling up to get everything, you now need to complete class-specific challenges. This means you will have to change how you play and try out things you normally wouldn’t do. Every Class Assignment is visible from the start, but none of your progress counts until you hit Rank 20 and finish the required tasks in the correct order. Gadgets Class – Battlefield 6

Each class in Battlefield 6 has its own unique gadgets, and each gadget has its own requirements for unlocking it. Below you will find details on everything.

Assault Class – Gadget Unlock

The Assault class is the most aggressive in Battlefield 6. You start with strong gear like the built-in Shotgun and the Assault Ladder, making it easy to flank enemies or climb into unexpected positions.

Assault is also the only class that can replace one of its gadgets with an extra primary weapon, such as a DMR, Carbine, or Shotgun. Shotguns like the M86A1, M1013, and 18.5KS-K work very well for the fast-moving Assault role.

How to Unlock the Deploy Beacon

Stick close to Support players so they can refill your gadgets. To finish ASSAULT 1, do:

• Earn a 10,000 score as Assault
• Get 30 kills while healing with the Adrenaline Injector

Then complete the next steps:

• Have 50 squadmates spawn on your beacons
• Get 20 kills/assists on enemies affected by concussion. It unlocks Training Path: FRONTLINER
• Deal 2,000 grenade damage. Unlocks Player Card Icon: EXPLOSIVE ENTRY. Unlocks Character Patch: GUNNING FOR GLORY.

How to Unlock the Incendiary Shotgun

Complete ASSAULT EXPERT 1 by doing:

• Get 50 kills while contesting objectives
• Earn a 40,000 score as Assault

It is the only shotgun that you can equip in your secondary slot.

How to Unlock the 18.5KS-K Shotgun Gadget

Start POINT BLANK requirements early:

• Deal 2,000 shotgun damage in one match
• Get 200 shotgun kills within 15m. It unlocks: 90 Minute Double XP Booster
• Get 25 shotgun kills in one round
• Get 5 shotgun kills without reloading. It unlocks: 18.5KS-K Shotgun Gadget

 Engineer Class – Gadgets Unlock in Battlefield 6

Engineers are the vehicle-destroying experts. You start with:

• Auto-Guided Launcher
• Air-Defense Launcher
• Anti-Vehicle Mines

You can only equip one launcher at a time, which makes the third Gadget slot important.

How to Unlock the Vehicle Supply Crate

Complete ENGINEER 1:

• Repair vehicles for 2,000 points
• Earn a 10,000 score as an Engineer

Follow a tank and repair it constantly for easy XP.

Challenges before ENGINEER SPECIALIST. You need to do the following:

• Deal 5,000 vehicle damage with launchers
• Deal 2,000 vehicle damage with mines. It unlocks Training Path: COMBAT ENGINEER
• Deal 2,500 aircraft damage with AA launchers
• Deal 1,000 laser-designated vehicle damage. It unlocks Player Card Icon: DEAD AIR & Character Patch: PATCH JOB.

How to Unlock the Aim-Guided Launcher

Complete ENGINEER SPECIALIST 1:

• Deploy Vehicle Supply Crate 5 times
• Earn a 40,000 score as an Engineer

Support Class – Gadget Unlock

Support focuses on healing and protecting teammates.

How to Unlock the Smoke Launcher M320A1 SMK

Complete SUPPORT 1:

• Heal 5,000 HP
• Earn a 10,000 score as Support

Next Support Challenges. You need to do these:

• Revive 200 teammates
• Deploy 25 covers. It unlocks Training Path: FIRE SUPPORT.
• Get 50 smoke assists
• Resupply 200 teammates. It unlocks Player Card Icon: SERVE AND PROTECT & Character Patch: HELPING HAND.

How to Unlock Goliath Impact & Airburst Launcher

Complete SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

• Intercept 100 projectiles
• Earn a 40,000 score. It unlocks the Supply Pouch.
• Resupply 200 teammates with Supply Pouch. It unlocks Incendiary Airburst Launcher & Player Card Background: BONDS OF WAR

The Airburst Launcher is slow to unlock but very strong against grouped enemies.

Recon Class – Gadget Unlock

Recon has the fewest gadgets but some of the hardest challenges. You can finish everything soon after Rank 23 if you focus.

Starting tools include:

• Motion Sensor
• Laser Designator
• Anti-Personnel Mine

The Recon Drone and Sniper Decoy come with ranks.

Complete RECON 1:

• Trick 30 enemies into shooting the Sniper Decoy

How to Unlock the Tracer Dart

Complete RECON SPECIALIST 1:

• Spot 300 enemies at objectives
• Earn a 40,000 score as Recon

Tracer Dart helps mark vehicles quickly for teammates.
