ASRock Has Revealed its Custom AMD Radeon 6700 XT GPU

ASRock has unveiled three custom Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics cards as part of its Phantom and Challenger series of cards. The 3 new cards are the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB OC, the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC, and the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger D 12GB graphics cards.

ASRock’s three RX 6700 XT graphics cards are aimed at different segments in the market. The Radeon RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB OC is aimed at high-end enthusiasts, the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC is aimed at mid-range users and the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger D 12GB is the more budget-oriented card.

The major differences in the 3 cards are the cooler design and lighting. Only 1 out of 3 cards supports RGB lighting, which is the top model Radeon RX 6700 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB OC. It features RGB lighting with the ARGB fan, the side ARGB LED board and ARGB pin-header. The card has a triple-fan cooler as well.

The other 2 cards do not feature any kind of lightning, but the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC card has a triple-fan cooler and the Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger D 12GB has a dual-fan cooler. All 3 cards feature ASRock’s exclusive Striped Axial Fans. All three models also feature a metal backplate.

ASROCK Radeon 6700 XT

Announced recently, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is powered by the full Navi 22 XT GPU that features 40 compute units. That equals 2560 stream processors/cores. The cores have a base clock speed of 2321 MHz, Game Clock of 2424 MHz, and Boost clock of 2581 MHz. The GPU also features 40 Ray accelerators for raytracing capabilities on the RDNA 2 based GPUs.

The card has an 11 Phase PCB design and will be powered by 8+6 power connectors. The card has a TDP of 230W which is close to NVIDIA’s RTX 3070. RX 6700 XT has 12 GB of GDDR6 memory running along with a 192-bit bus interface. The card will use 16 Gbps dies which will provide a total bandwidth of 384 GB/s.

The RX 6700 XT graphic card also has the newly introduced Infinity cache and Smart Access memory features. It contains 96 MB of Infinity cache. The card supports PCIe Gen 4.0 and has 3x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x HDMI 2.1 ports for display options.

Currently, the pricing for the ASRock 6700XT cards is unknown so we will have to wait a while to know what these cards will cost.
