ARK Survival Ascended’s Lost Colony DLC brings a solid lineup of brand-new creatures for players to discover. If you already thought the base game had plenty of creatures, this expansion pushes things even further. Some creatures are natural and prehistoric, while others clearly show the consequences of advanced experiments gone wrong. All New Creatures in the ARK: Lost Colony

The table below consists of every new creature introduced in the Lost Colony expansion, along with what makes each one unique and its locations.

Creature Name Description Location
Aureliax A new flying creature that focuses on gravity-based attacks. It is beneficial for controlling enemies during combat. Also known as the Snow Dragon, Aureliax is one of the most eye-catching creatures in Lost Colony.

 

You can primarily find it at 72.3 Latitude, 43.7 Longitude. Additional spawn points appear nearby.
Cryolophosaurus

 

This creature attacks using a narcotic-like sludge that weakens enemies. It can also provide helpful buffs to nearby allies. It can be found on top of large mountains and high-altitude regions.

 

Known Location: 76.2 Latitude, 71.3 Longitude.
Desmodus

 

Using echolocation, the Desmodus can detect and damage enemies. It is very useful during the foggy season when the visibility is low.

Finding Desmodus can be tricky if you don’t know where to look. Desmodus usually hangs from cave ceilings. It can be found in most caves

 

Location: 83.8 Latitude, 70.5 Longitude

 

Gigadesmodus

 

One of the biggest, best, and toughest creatures in the Lost Colony. It can even support a mobile command structure on its back. This makes it one of the most valuable creatures to tame in Lost Colony. Travel to the large city landmark. Head toward the red pillar

You will find it at Location: 19.1 Latitude, 76.4 Longitude.

Start the boss fight. Defeating the boss rewards you with an egg. Hatch the egg to raise your own Gigadesmodus.

 

Gloon

 

A very unusual creature that fires lasers. Its attacks can also cause nearby creatures to lose control and enter a frenzy-like state. Location: 54.5 Latitude, 34.3 Longitude

Gargoyles

 

Stone-like mythical creatures that can be extremely dangerous. If you are not prepared, they can quickly overwhelm you. N/A
Malwyn

 

An aggressive version of Veilwyn that offers several attack styles. It excels at taking down enemies quickly.

 

Malwyn is a unique case.

  • Does not appear to spawn naturally in the wild
  • It can be found inside the city. These versions cannot be tamed
Neophytes

 

A huge bat-like creature known for its durability. It can absorb a large amount of damage before showing signs of weakness.

Ossidon

 

A massive ape-like creature that attacks by throwing sludge balls from a distance. It is often referred to as the Snow Monster and can be found in colder regions.

Revenants

 

These creatures are corrupted remains of Thralls and dinosaurs, altered by the substance known as liquid Edmundium.

Solwyn

 

It is closely related to Malwyn; this creature uses ice-based abilities. It can also be mounted, making it useful both in combat and travel. Soulwyn can be very hard to locate, but the good news is that fully grown Soulwyns do spawn naturally.

 

Location: 71 Latitude, 85.5 Longitude
Veilwyn

 

An Arctic Fox that has teleportation abilities and several other practical uses. It serves as the base form for both Solwyn and Malwyn.

 

Around 87.4 Latitude, 10.5 Longitude
