Even with all these threats, the game asks you to complete quests scattered across the map. One useful item you can use for several tasks is the Snitch Scanner. It basically monitors the area before you go there to avoid any fatal damage or to cause damage to other Raiders. How to Get Snitch Scanners in ARC Raiders
The main way to get Snitch Scanners in the game is by destroying Snitches.
Snitches are special ARC drones that fly high in the sky and scan the area for any signs of life. They don’t attack you on their own, but they become a serious problem if you trigger their sensors.
If a Snitch detects you and you fail to destroy it quickly:
- It sends out a distress signal that calls in reinforcements.
- These reinforcements usually include one Hornet and two Wasps.
Facing all three enemies at once, especially in the open, will almost always get you knocked out unless you have strong gear and good cover. If you don’t destroy a Snitch in time, it flies far up into the sky and escapes, meaning you lose the Snitch Scanner. To take them out:
- Use two weapons and switch between them when one runs out of bullets.
- Early-game weapons like the Ferro and Anvil are great options because they have solid ARC Armor Penetration.
- After the Snitch dies, loot it to get your Snitch Scanner.
Snitches are visible from far away. You can spot and tag them so they move toward you, making them easier to shoot once they fly closer.
Snitch Scanners Usage
Snitch Scanners can be recycled into ARC Alloys or Electrical Components, but their real value comes from their special ability. When you throw a Snitch Scanner:
- It calls down an ARC enemy from the sky onto the same spot.
- If you have several Scanners, you can toss them one after another at an enemy Raider team to let ARC Machines do their work.
